That time I landed a trophy smallmouth trolling a jitterbug from a drone. This still stands as one of the top five moments of my life. Funny story: I did an interview about this on a Vermont radio station afterwards. The initial interview was hilarious, we were all laughing. A week later, I saw that they did a follow-up / borderline apology because people were calling in, claiming it wasn’t legal in the state of Vermont. Whether or not that was true, this was in Quebec, where it was definitely not prohibited (at least at the time). But Quebec subsequently went onto amend its drone laws, and now prohibits “transporting live animals via drone”. Not sure if that includes / prohibits drone fishing, but I like to call that the “Viva amendment” 😂
