Inspired by John Dunn’s essay of the same name, I’ve written a review essay on three recent books, on ‘the future of liberalism’ 1. Liberalism Against Itself @samuelmoyn 2. Liberalism as a Way of Life @alex_usyd 3. Regenerative Politics @EmmaPlaninc doi.org/10.1080/095575…

My review of Wendy Brown’s latest book is now available! There I’ve tried to explain her response to nihilism with reference to the work of Sheldon Wolin and Tracy Strong. Many thanks @PeterVerovsek! doi.org/10.1057/s41296…

I'm thrilled to say that I have a new article published! Whilst my research focus has now shifted, I'm very glad that some of the work I did on the history of British idealist philosophy during my Cambridge MPhil is now available: go.shr.lc/3QtpnLy

It's finally official: I've been awarded the Magdalen Graduate Scholarship in Politics to pursue the DPhil at Oxford, starting later this year. This has been a dream of mine, and I can't wait to delve into my new project on anti-utopian liberal thought!

My review essay on Raymond Geuss’s most recent books is now out: doi.org/10.3366/jspp.2… I discuss his views on ideology critique, the concept of work, liberalism, and worldviews. I’ve also attempted to defend his political philosophy against some of his critics!

Last week, I interviewed Quentin Skinner about the Cambridge 'blue books' series, if his contextualism implied that he was a political 'realist', whether one could historicise contemporaries, and if he would write an autobiography - it was truly riveting anchor.fm/oxpolrev/episo…

I'm absolutely delighted that my thesis on Raymond Geuss and overall MSc performance were awarded a Distinction. The past year at Oxford has been immensely rewarding, and I am extremely lucky to be able to pursue my interests to their fullest extent.

I wrote a short review of Raymond Geuss’s new book, Not Thinking like a Liberal. ‘it represents the first sustained autobiographical account of his intellectual development and political views.’ @OxfordPolRev tinyurl.com/3txzyy8f

My current research @Politics_Oxford is focused on Raymond Geuss's political thought as part of a broader attempt to historicize political realism. I was therefore delighted to speak to Geuss himself about his intellectual development for @OxfordPolRev - youtu.be/OTUVh1gP2ck
