I hugely value the work of our NHS staff & it’s disappointing some union members are going ahead with further strike action - my door remains open to further talks. Unions have called for industrial action to cause maximum disruption & inevitably this will have an impact (1/3)

These folk are living in a parallel universe…. And the picture of Boris Johnson (from yesterday I believe) shows him on his current beach holiday. Parliament is sitting. MPs are meant to be at work doing the job we are paid to do. He’s lazy, arrogant, entitled and dishonest.

I spoke to President @ZelenskyyUa earlier to underline steadfast 🇬🇧 support in light of Russia’s sham referendums, which we will never recognise. I thanked him for helping secure the release of 5 British nationals & discussed ways to protect 🇺🇦 gas supplies. Putin must fail.

A leaked Treasury report, now reveals that the energy co's will make circa 170 billion profit over the next 2 years. Meanwhile, we awake to a whole new raft of Hospitality closures, mainly citing untenable energy costs. This could have been avoided. It's unforgivable.

The energy price cap will rise 80% to £3,549 next month and Boris Johnson is telling people to buy a new kettle to save money on their bills over the course of a few hundred years. Stop wasting time. We need wealth tax and public ownership now.
