Big thank you to Jamie from Boskalis who came in yesterday to talk to our S3 classes about his experience working internationally and the skills he has developed throughout his career! 🌍✈️

A lovely day attending the YPI National Event to celebrate the success of our @WAberdeenshire YPI winners! Amazing to hear lots of inspiring and thought-provoking stories from other schools and two fantastic keynote speakers!🤩 @ypi_scotland @GuidanceTeamWA #BeTheChangeYPI

Then finished off our trip with a quick walk through Retiro Park to get some lunch before the journey back home! Thank you so much to staff and S3 pupils for a fantastic trip, lots of great memories made!🇪🇸✈️

For our last day in Madrid we headed to Las Ventas Bullring for a very interesting tour!🐂🇪🇸

We then continued the excitement by heading for an afternoon of thrills at Parque Warner! Thousands of steps done and lots of rides conquered🎢

Día número tres started off with a tour of Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium! Lots of excited football fans especially Mr MacLean and Mr Wilson🏟️⚽️

Final stop was some traditional Spanish Tapas for dinner! Lots of new foods tried - ¡bien hecho todos!🥘🍽️

Next stop was the Museo de las ilusiones, followed by a wander round the shops on La Gran Via and La Puerta del Sol🔮🛍️

We then headed on a walking tour round Madrid, lots of interesting history and lots of beautiful sights!🤩

Día número dos started off bright and early with a Spanish lesson! Great to see the pupils putting what they’ve learnt in the department into action🇪🇸

Day numero uno! A long day travelling to Madrid finished off with exploring Plaza Major! All tucked up in bed ready for day 2💃🏼🇪🇸

Finally got 2B2’s beautiful papel picado up on the wall this afternoon! They’ve done an excellent job bringing lots of creativity and colour to my classroom🇪🇸

Sentence Stealers in the sun with 2B2 today, lots of great work on giving opinions on lots of different types of food!☀️😎¡Buen trabajo!🇪🇸

Last lesson this week with Higher/Adv H French!🥹 This lovely bunch have been a pleasure to work with this year, they’ve worked so hard and I am so impressed and proud of the progress they’ve made🥳 Bonne chance tout le monde, vous serez fantastiques!🍀✨🇫🇷

Absolutely delighted to be ending a very busy Term 3 on a high with such lovely hardworking pupils🥹🥳 Looking forward to seeing what Term 4 has in store after a much needed break! Joyeuses Pâques🐣

S3 French have been preparing for our project on ‘Les vacances’! Each group has chosen a Francophone country and were packing their suitcases with the essential items they will need for their journey before deciding if they should purchase the items at home or abroad!✈️🧳

Excellent work from 2B2 creating beautiful birthday cards for each other while practising dates and describing personality traits in Spanish🇪🇸 Looking forward to handing these out throughout the year to celebrate each other’s birthdays🥳

To celebrate #worldbookday2025 S3 French have been using their knowledge of language this week to work out the French titles of some well known books! Lots of great dictionary practice and some excellent discussions around translation and reading too! Bon travail🤩📚

We have been very lucky to have Carole from Collège Saint-Exupery in France working with us the last 2 weeks! Merci beaucoup for sharing your language and culture with our pupils! We can’t wait to create links between our schools in the future🇫🇷✈️
