@Falilatt_ @BenjaminHa32198 Like taxes, you should always assume a tip to a price when travelling to a tipping country. If you can’t afford to tip, you should go to somewhere cheaper. You’re not gonna get deprived of anything if you can simply think ahead when travelling abroad.

@mlmclint @BenjaminHa32198 Well, expecting tip is actually cruel considering it’s invalidating to customers that probably saved up to go there for a treat but now they are deprived of that because they are being hounded to tip. How is that fair?

@BenjaminHa32198 @Falilatt_ The server employer’s pay the servers basically nothing (ex: 2.13 an hour in texas). Without tip, the server do not get a living wage. I don’t agree with tips but not doing it is being an asshole. It’s like not saying hi and thank you.

That reminds me that when i told my coworker i was getting surgery without telling them what it was. One of them assumed it was gonna be a esthetic surgery bc he didn’t know about any other kind of surgery

It's funny you never consider the opposite. That Quebec has to speak English for everything. I got jobs just because I spoke English and I couldn't have gone to graduate studies, even at my french speaking uni, if I didn't. Not knowing English is very much a glass ceiling here

If you have to be bilingual to be considered a worthy C-suite executive in Canada, you’re going to push out many of the best candidates. Convince me I’m wrong. Quebec cannot demand concessions from Anglo Canada in perpetuity without giving something back in exchange. The asymmetry is unsustainable.
