Today, we read Pumpkin Jack. It is a book about the life cycle of a pumpkin. We have our own Pumpkin Jack!! We will be watching and observing our pumpkin throughout the year to see the changes he goes through!!🎃🎃#ikefraser #fraserfamily

Today, we used the reading phones during our Read to Self time. Reading phones allow students to read out loud and hear themselves reading, without the whole room hearing them. This is great for fluency practice. #ikefraser #fraserfamily

Today we did our first session of Read to Someone. Read to Someone allows for more time to practice strategies & helps students work on fluency & expression. Students also work on check for understanding, hearing their own voice, & sharing in the learning community. #ikefraser

Today was Bubble Day! We went outside this morning and read on our blankets and worked on a bubble packet. This afternoon we got a piece of bubblegum and blew bubbles. We also got to have Popsicles and we each got real bubbles to play with at recess. #ikefraser #fraserfamily

We had our second theme day today, Sport’s Day. We sat outside this morning and read and worked on a sport’s packet. This afternoon we went outside and ate a cup of “basketballs”, then had some time to play with our balls that we brought in!! #ikefraser #fraserfamily

Today, we had the Retelling Restaurant! Students did a retelling activity with The Good Egg, they made a retelling stick, chose a book from the reading buffet to read & retell, put together retelling puzzles, & cut out pieces for a retelling sandwich!! #fraserfamily #ikefraser
