@mlw1000 @Shr_Nottingham At first that is probably true, but once PA/ACP consultants are more established in the NHS insurers will start using them more in the private sector. They will be cheaper, and be sold as equivalent to doctors just as the NHS is doing.

20 years ago the only real difference between going private & NHS was choosing your consultant, waiting a little less and getting a nice ☕️ The 10 year plan makes it pretty clear you might not even see a Dr in the NHS now, let alone a consultant Two tier … … is here 🤷‍♂️

Nobody is going pay for a PA consultation privately, though I guess insurers would love a better deal. I wouldn’t be buying their policy though in those circumstances. 60-70% private care is self paid. Nobody is going to be crying or rioting. We all have to take accountability for our own health. It’s nobody else’s problem.

@mlw1000 @Shr_Nottingham I am aware of that. My point was that the people who have enabled resident doctors to be replaced by those without medical qualifications would not be so accommodating to the same people if they were to replace them, especially in the private sector

@Shr_Nottingham You can guarantee the leaders of the royal colleges will be far more vocal in opposition if their private work starts to be taken by non-medically qualified individuals. They would riot in a heartbeat.

HAUNTED $7M HOTEL LEFT FLOATING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN It used to be a World War I and II fort. Then someone dropped millions turning it into a luxury hotel in the middle of the ocean… and just peaced out 5 years ago. You can only reach it by boat. It has an ocean view room, a fully stocked gift shop that literally says “Come in, we’re open,” and a lighthouse that’s secretly a bar. Everything is frozen like people just walked out mid-vacation, making it one of the creepiest and coolest abandoned spots explorers have ever seen. Source: @exploringwithjosh
