@Ademola_Odumesi You’re right. What we see as a normal thing back then is actually health hazard in a sane country. Moreover, how man go survive if no maintenance issues 😊

I remember, one time in one of the facilities I used to manage back then.
There's an HVAC unit in one of the tenants space in the building, it usually make a very faint sound when in operation and need services that has to be done out of hours.
Spare parts has been delivered and I was just waiting for email to confirm the booking for the HVAC Engr. to attend, from the contractor.
Only to receive an email from a 3rd party representing this very tenant, to complaint about the same HVAC unit.
The writer wrote "the level of noise it produces is regularly disrupting staff working in the office....... However, as this is continuing to impact staff, I will be taking this forward"
Me was like, what's impacting the staff?.... That faint sound? 🙄 🙄
And the Nigerian in me was like "You will be shekini?..... You will be taking it forward keh??"
Nitori Kini?? 😳🙄😳🙄🤔🤔🤔😳😳
Me in my head like, Shey o'fee gbaa i'she l'owo mii alaye
Abeg calm down oo 😂😂🤣
All issues was duly sorted and all parties were happy at the end.
But, In all of that moment, I remembered all those years when we used to go to bed, with loud generators running over night at the backyard.
In some houses, you could be the only tenant at the bq and everyone's generator is right behind your window.
Something, that many people would even sleep peacefully and snore all night with.
In fact, both their snoring and that of generator sound would be competing all night 🤣🤣
Omooo x10000
There's a need to heal from many trauma 🥹
Maybe if I have not moved, who knows, I might not know any better than what I already knew.
We thank God for the journey thus far.

Dear DJ Cuppy, @cuppymusic
I saw you said you want a simple 9–5 man with no social media…
I’m a teacher in a private secondary school in Lagos, my life is calm, simple, and real.
In fact, after this tweet, I can log out completely.
If we start something serious this week, by this time next year, it’s our 1-year anniversary, maybe with our first child in Maldives 🌴

MEN’S CAVE OUTREACH
APRIL EDITION
This April, we’re back at it again… and it just keeps getting better.
Our monthly Men’s Cave retreat is heading to Sheffield for a powerful day of golf, brotherhood, and real conversations. ⛳️
More than just a game, this is about creating a safe space for African immigrant men to connect, unwind, and support each other. We’re tackling isolation, promoting mental wellbeing, and building a strong community, one hangout at a time.
We’ve done many of these… and every single one reminds us why this matters.
