My father was an immigrant. He came to this country from Lebanon as a teenager. He spoke very little English. But he worked hard. He got a full scholarship to college. And then he spent his entire professional career working for our Department of Defense. He loved America, and he instilled that love in me. He believed in the promise of America. And he instilled that belief in me. He didn’t “poison the blood” of our country. He served our country. Proudly. And anyone who says otherwise about him or any other immigrant who comes here seeking a better life, has no business serving as our president.
