kudos to the catering team who made sure i was fed and was never short of wine. walking through that man's thoughts was mortifying. but even scarier, were the sounds of affirmation by older men in the crowd who'd arrived with their sons. young men with the book in their hands

@leewritesalot literally! I was telling someone outside that he’s basically speaking to the BMS school of thought and that the american black feminist scholars were going through sm because of what they’re doing in academia

@mmadikamph Omg, I literally ranted last week about how he operates like the BMS constituency in the US because he is not concerned about the safety, protection & well-being of Black boys but by restoring male domination in arenas where he deems it is lost.

attended the book launch for 'the country hates our boys' by mzamo masito because i was bored and on campus for the evening. also wanted to check out the talking points that led to the conclusion arrived at in the title of the book. and oh, jesus be a shield

yeah i had wine but thinking about the book being nationally platformed on such a scale, the bold support from the crowd, the young men who'd arrived with the book in their hands - all during this rise in conservatism and the grip that the manosphere has on the youth? sobering.
