One year since I’ve used a straightening iron. One year of science, trial and error, dozens of hair products, and a few tears while I learned how to take care of the hair my family gave me. And one year since my daughter has thought her natural hair makes her ugly. 💖

My daughter inherited my curly hair, which I inherited from my mom, and so on through our family. None of us ever knew what to do with it, and I had been straightening mine for 20+ years.
