It is what it is and at then end of the day each song deserves to shine considering how much time and effort were put into each one 🤘🏻

Which is exactly why in 2025 I'm rebelling against this for my own sanity Again, I get it works for bands and I love that it works for them it sucks that maybe I'm 'not with the times' since I never got into the whole 'playlist' thing but I just want albums to feel exciting again

memphis may fire ily but having an album of 10 songs and 7 of them are out as singles so we have to wait 2 months for 3 other songs is actually ridiculous 😭 i get singles sell better than albums nowadays but 7 singles out of 10 to wait months for 3 songs is disappointing

If anyone is wondering why Memphis May Fire dropped 6 singles before they even announced an album is because the streams from the singles count towards first week sales So in theory you can drop a single from an album 2 years in advance and collect the streams towards the album

@GinSpirits28 Totally get it! In 2024, with streaming being the main way people listen to music, coupled with a “fast food” mentality on the consumption of it, you have to adapt as an artist 🤷🏻‍♂️ thanks jamming and hopefully march is here before you know it haha!

I like the music of both artists, but 6/10 songs on Shapeshifter by Memphis May Fire are out already. Shit like that kills the hype to me. Like you may as well just release the album at that point.
