We respect our Islamic scholars and we learn a lot from them, but being a scholar does not make someone above correction. Advice should go both ways, thesame Islamic scholars who advise us are sometimes the same people blocking us when we try to advise them too. We will always listen to beneficial knowledge, but some behaviours should not be copied blindly. Allah yasa mu dace!

Politics is a dirty game filled with insults, betrayals, and disrespect, and honestly, seeing a lot of people disrespect you makes me sad because you’re an Islamic scholar and a mentor to many of us. You’re among the people teaching us about obeying Allah and reminding us that this dunya is temporary, but it seems you love politics too much despite how dirty and toxic it can be. No matter how good someone is, politics won’t spare them from criticism and humiliation. You’re already successful, respected, and wealthy. Sometimes protecting your dignity, peace, and deen is more valuable than remaining in political battles. May Allah guide you to what is best for your dunya and akhirah.

I lost mine 8 years ago. She battled that dreadful disease for more than 2 decades. I've never seen or heard anyone that suffered as much. Bantaɓa ganin wanda ciwo ya bawa wahala kamar baiwar Allah nan ba & there was nothing we could do. Allah Ya musu rahma Yasa sun huta.

As a daughter of the late Deputy Controller of Customs and proud Apapa man, Alhaji Ilyasu Yakubu Allahbura, Apapa has always been home to me. I grew up within this community and understand both its strength and its struggles. I am also the granddaughter of Yisa Brahimo Ottun, fondly known as YB Ottun (Allahu Lateef). The calls, messages and encouragement from the people of Apapa over the past few days have been overwhelming. I have heard you clearly. Maybe the people are finally tired of representatives they only see on campaign posters. I will be taking consultations seriously in the coming weeks as we listen, engage and explore what true representation for Apapa should look like. This is not just about politics.
