@gri49400562 @IAPonomarenko It was such a ridiculously bad deal that team Trump must have know Ukraine would refuse. It was the kind of deal petty salesmen selling small stuf try to do, not something one would want to pull off on a state level.

@mmzeeman @IAPonomarenko I don't think so. I don't think Trump actually believes a word of that tweet. It was petty insults at Zelensky for not agreeing to the mineral rights deal. Trump probably took it the wrong way and went on a tirade. Tomorrow he might be pro-Ukraine. Who the fuck knows

The funniest part is that Zelensky himself initially suggested this whole thing with Ukraine's rare earth metals to the U.S. as part of his "peace plan" before Trump took office. It was like: "Okay if America talks business and quid pro quo, we respect that because it has already helped us a lot. And here's what should additionally motivate America to participate in Ukraine's security—we have rare earth metals American industries might be interested in. There need to be investments, but profits will follow. We'll get new jobs and tax money; it's a win-win, so we're ready to talk business, big time." And Donald Trump, for whatever reason, turned this into grotesquely confrontational arm-twisting extortion in which the Ukrainian president was supposed to sign up to such a "deal" unconditionally without even reading what it's all about -- as if Ukraine is King Leopold II's Congo colony -- and turning a potential business deal into Versailles-style war reparations that gives Trump a gigantic part of Ukraine's economy and resources, even industrial infrastructure and sea ports. All because Trump got obsessed with this "$500 billion" thing that is taken from thin air and absolutely unrealistic and impossible, and now he's terribly offended.

@chamsinistaargh Het heeft ook veel te maken met eenzaamheid. Dat veranderd namelijk je kijk op de wereld. Dit wordt misbruikt door mensen als Trump en Wilders. Daarom is het zo belangrijk om iets aan eenzaamheid te doen. Het is niet alleen iets waar ouderen last van hebben.
