Our minor & junior athletes were out today for the Connacht Track & Field finals. Congrats to Nathan Marsh who came 2nd in the minor Boys Javelin. Ally Duffy had a fantastic day finishing 1st in the 1500m junior girls race. Ally has qualified for the All Ireland on May 31st. 👏

Well done to Kate Mallon (2nd Year) who played for Connacht u16’s in the 7’s Interpro Series in Mullingar over the weekend. 👏

Well done to MCS students Rebecca Concannon, Megan Killian, Anna Ryan & Lillie Anders O’Brien who won the u15 Cup Final today with Ballinahown. 🏆

Jacob Kwak has reached new heights today, winning gold and becoming the Connacht Pole Vault Champion.🥇Congratulations Jacob, from all of us in MCS! 👏

South Connacht Track and Field Champions. Congrats to the following who have qualified for the Finals. Aoife Cronin 75m Hurdles, Adedoyin Showunmi 200m sprint, Emily Galvin Javelin , Cormac Murray 75m Hurdles, Nathan Marsh Javelin & Ally Duffy 1500m race. 👏

Well done to Millmore who won the Division 3 Féile at the weekend with Moate CS well represented by students Ollie Hughes, Callum Maloney, Niall Gaughan, Liam Gill, Luke McCormack and Peter Young.

Hard luck MCS students Katie Doolan & Aine Macken (Offlay) who lost out to Westmeath in the Minor C Leinster final last week.

Well done to all the girls and management on a fantastic victory.

Our TY JP2 students are on their way home tonight after an incredible trip. Yesterday, we went to Assisi where we found out about St Francis and Carlos Acutis. Today was one of the highlights, a visit to The Catacombs where we had a liturgy, and visiting the tomb of Pope Francis.

Our TY Mini Company class had a fantastic experience visiting Butlers Chocolate Factory today. Students explored the fascinating history of Butlers Chocolate and gained valuable insights into the company’s daily operations. 🍫

Congrats to the MCS players who won Féile titles over the weekend. Garycastle won the D1 and Cill Oige D2 while Moate Ladies were unlucky to lose the D3. Wishing many of these players the very best of luck in their Leinster A final on Thursday v Scoil Chriost Rí Portlaoise.

Congratulations to Karrissa Burns Ty student who won 1st place in the Department of Educations competition "Education for Sustainable Development" Under the theme  "What Sustainability Means to Me" Karrissa won 1st place in the Post Primary  Senior Category.

Well done to Tadhg Trainor, Elliot Rooney Digan and Tyler Mason on their impressive 31–13 victory with the U18.5 Buccaneers in the Bank of Ireland Connacht Final against the Corinthians on Sunday. 🏉

The recent Irish Open Swimming Championships proved to be an exhilarating five-day event. Hosted in the National Aquatic Centre, Moate CS student Leah Connell shone brightly as she set a new club record in the 100m, and the 50m backstroke and a pb in 200m.
