I will say with my entire chest that the transphobes who lament about trans people playing in sports, if they were to have grown up in the 40’s/50’s, would *absolutely* be against racial integration in sports. It’s the same arguments, just a different coat of paint
Clay Travis@ClayTravis

Sophie Cunningham gets grilled by WNBA reporters for saying men shouldn’t be able to play women’s sports. Refuses to back down. “I said what I said.” Eloquently defends women’s sports as woke reporters press her. Love all of this. Well done @sophaller.

@StrawHatYakub This is nonsense and pretty offensive. To conflate Trans sport issues with issues of racial equality is not a good hill to die on.

@fcbmessiaddict You've showrn 4 incidents from four different tournaments. I could show you 4 possible Argentina reds from 1 or 2 matches from the same tournament. The fact you included Beckham/Simione is hilarious

England fans have been crying and lecturing everyone about “class,” “professionalism,” and “respect.” So here’s a thread showing just how “classy” and “professional” English players have been throughout football history. Wayne Rooney vs Montegro:

@StigMcnulty Ok, did not know that. I saw her in She Hulk, i liked it but found her insufferable. I think it's the fringe. I find it offensive. What do i know. Either way i think she has a point, though her delivery of it is ham-fisted and clunky.

Is this the same Gary Linker who fought HMRC tooth and nail over a £4.9m IR35 tax bill (and settled it) who is now “proud to stand with” those wanting higher taxes… on everyone else? You cannot make it up. Pay the tax voluntarily Gary. Shameless.

@PeterMcCormack @GaryLineker Calm down mate, you sound like you'd be a really angry either way. Send your ire elsewhere, he's one of the good ones. Plenty on here that have stayed quiet.

@Jenny_1884 She is amazing, she does not want brown people touching her wrapped up food. I did not realise there where people like this. I first though it was satire, but bloody hell she is serious. This is wonderful in a really fucked up and backward kind of way.

I won’t use the likes of Deliveroo, Uber Eats & Just Eat because you never know who’s going to be knocking at your door. On the rare occasion we have a takeaway we collect ourselves. Anyone else do the same?

I just got into an argument with a family member who called me racist for saying that Black people aren’t English. Why does stating the obvious trigger people so much?!!

Just for the record @andyburnham - £2 bus fare isn't a shit of good if, like me, you need to go to work every day, and the bus comes through the village on a Friday at 9.30am

So we’ve replaced Dan Jarvis a Defence secretary who was a Major in the Parachute regiment, with years of operational service in Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan and N.I. and knows the armed forces - with Wes Streeting wouldn’t know the difference between a battalion and a Battenberg.

I’ve seen so many silly opinions regarding this and it’s funny how logic seems to disappear whenever Messi is involved. First, The rules clearly say that covering your mouth while talking to an opponent is a red card offense. Everyone is aware of this rule (which was introduced after Prestianni’s incident with Vini) but since it’s Messi, let’s all suddenly forget it exists. Second, a player on his team had just been sent off which makes the game uneven. As a captain it’s expected that he’d try to even things at any chance. Cucurella covering his mouth while talking to him presented that chance and he tried to take it but fortunately for one or unfortunately for the other, it’s one of those times where the rules lack consistency. The amount of narratives I’ve seen about this moment in the game is beyond disgusting. Even casuals who know nothing are having opinions. He’s been called names just for doing the right thing any captain would do for his team Always grateful he won the World Cup in 2022 because the things that would have been said about him would’ve been way more pathetic than the ones currently being said.
