Depends on your stack. My personal project I can dev just fine with 16GB (macbook pro 2019). So for "work work" I thought 32 GB would be enough when I purchased my MSI Raider. I'm already pricing 96 GB while shaking my head that I didn't just commit to this a year ago. No I don't need that much but I want to future proof this laptop for as long as I possibly can. I'm in love, she's powerful and sexy... 7945hx3d just shreds everything I throw at it and makes the i9 in my Mac blush!

Honestly I'm more concerned about where the best tooling lives and imo that's windoze unfortunately, even if it has bloat and lots of commented out code from Windows 3.1 and God knows what else. Oh for sure bro I was hella annoyed Wednesday that I had to attach to an IIS worker program because AI thought it could get by just recompiling a lower level dll and not the whole project. It was awesome watching the code work perfectly after all the necessary dlls were updated 🤓

College and brute force strength lol. Coding to me is just learning how to solve problems with a set of design principles in whatever marketspace attracts you the most. You pick up more principles and what NOT to do along the journey as you evolve with tech. 40 years later you are using AI to fly where you once crawled, right? Punchcards to fully functional products in a week tops 🤯
