Kig Padding 101 Good padding isn’t required—but it can completely change a kig’s silhouette. Padding can be simple or complex, subtle or bold. How far you go depends on your style and comfort level. Foam or Silicone? Foam padding is light and affordable, which makes it great for beginners. The downside is durability—compression flattens it over time, so it needs frequent replacement. Silicone padding costs more and weighs more, but it keeps its shape and delivers a more realistic look. I personally prefer silicone for its consistency and longevity. Proportion Comes First Padding should enhance your natural body, not overpower it. Bigger isn’t always better. A balanced setup usually means hips proportional to shoulder width and wider than the waist to create a clean hourglass silhouette. Targeted weight training can further help sculpt and support these proportions. Shapewear Is the Finishing Touch Shapewear worn over padding smooths edges, blends transitions, and refines the final shape. Practice Makes It Work Padding takes time to get right. It’s not an overnight skill. It took me about six months of experimenting and adjusting to find a setup I was happy with. Keep tweaking, keep learning, and the results will come. @L0V3N3V3RD13S @Fleurdrisa I know it’s not as simple, but I have found making other parts bigger, works wonder. E.g bigger bust and hips.. that way it changes the whole silhouette without reducing shoulder (compressing is harder than adding)

@Fleurdrisa Honestly, the only place I haven't seen padding been implemented is in reducing the silhouette of the shoulders. It's less prominent with the bigger masks, but I feel overly conscious enough with my own body. Shoulders reduction through shape wear could really help
