Ambassador of Sudan to Russia.

🔴 From our meeting with Georgy Borisenko, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, we obtained exclusive statements on Moscow’s position regarding the war in #Sudan. Borisenko reaffirmed Russia’s recognition of the Sudanese government, the Sovereignty Council, and Abdel Fattah al-Burhan as the country’s legitimate authority. He also said Russia is considering a return to Khartoum once security conditions allow, renewed its condemnation of the massacres in Darfur last year, and stressed the need to halt the flow of weapons to the RSF.

🔴 I was pleased today to visit the Sudanese Embassy in Moscow following a kind invitation, where I met members of the Sudanese diplomatic mission in Russia, headed by H.E Ambassador Mohamed Al-Ghazali. My sincere appreciation for their warm welcome and hospitality, a reflection of the spirit Sudanese people carry wherever they go. A touch of Khartoum, in the heart of Moscow.
