Born in Birkenhead, Merseyside, 24th March 1961, Peter Davenport. He made his debut 15th March 1986, in the 1-0 loss to QPR. Davenport, could have made a dream debut that day but had a goal chalked off for offside. I Felt Davenport was Big Ron’s last throw of the dice. And what a game it was. On my Dad's shoulders in a truly packed Clock End before the biggest copper, I'd ever seen told me to get down. By that time I'd actually seen Johan Cryuff playing in real life so I was in heaven! Were about 50,000 there that night. Felt like 100,000♥️⚽️
