Do you sense that a deliberate, well orchestrated, well funded "Regional & International Script" is in place to make the coming Elections difficult, troubling & controversial denying credibility & legitimacy to the next incoming Govt?

I never said that Islamic Revolutionary Govt lacked popular support; I argue that it couldn’t emerge out of its initial reactive mindset; to be confident enough to tolerate dissenting voices. Take another example: Afghan Taliban won a 20 year long difficult struggle against the occupying United States, they do have significant political support but are not strong enough to overcome their internal divisions to give Afghan women their basic rights of education and work, despite knowing at the apex level that such an action will give them support & leverage in the international level which was crucial to fight their many enemies - this policy alone will not let them grow & creates an existential conflict in the mid to long term - best!

@MoeedNj Respectfully, this is classic Western-liberal framing dressed as "balanced" analysis, but it echoes the exact enemy talking points the Islamic Republic has exposed for decades. Conceding the December 2025 protests "were orchestrated by Mossad under Netanyahu’s strategy" while claiming "yet... dissenting voices were not always agents of the West" is a contradiction that lets fifth columnists off the hook. It is clear these were not organic "creative spirit" uprisings. Iranian intelligence arrested dozens of Mossad-linked networks with weapons, cash, and encrypted apps, facts confirmed by state media and even partial Western admissions. The "feminists, artists, writers" you defend served as useful cover for the real operators. Genuine domestic dissent exists, but when it turns into coordinated street violence calling for overthrow of the Islamic system, it crosses into treason enabled by external enemies .Dismissing this as paranoia ignores history: every major wave (2009 Green Movement, 2019 fuel protests, 2022 Woman-Life-Freedom, and now 2025) was seeded and funded from abroad. The Revolution’s “reactionary phase” was survival against an eight-year Iraq war (armed by Arab monarchs and Zionists), 46 years of sanctions, and constant sabotage. Yet it delivered exactly what you praise: massive distributive justice, women’s literacy exploding, university enrollment for women surpassing men, and millions still turning out for anti-Zionist rallies. Protests against even the most popular leaders never disprove on-ground support, exactly as your own US example shows. Trump won decisively in 2024 with a committed base, yet faced millions in “No Kings” rallies against his policies. Did that mean his domestic support evaporated? Of course not, polls and rally crowds proved the opposite. Same here: the Islamic Republic’s core support among the working class, Basij, and provinces remains rock-solid, as shown by massive pro-regime mobilizations and the failure of every color-revolution attempt. The Revolution didn’t frighten Arabs and Zionists out of weakness; it terrified them by offering an independent Islamic model. Blaming internal repression while downplaying the external siege is precisely how the enemy narrative divides us. The creative spirit thrives because of the Revolution’s protection against cultural invasion. History will judge 2025 the same way it judged 2009: foreign plot, defeated by the people’s will.

Mullahs? Why mention Mullahs? Because the comment was about Iran’s creative spirit! And Khomeini’s revolution couldn’t evolve to be kind and understanding to writers, artists, film makers, feminists, woman right activists and other minorities.. Though I think, revolution was intelligent and like all revolutions would have evolved in time to be confident and benevolent to all kinds of minority ideas - creative spirit is never majoritarian, it’s always a dissenting minority.. But Iran’s revolution frightened its Arab neighbors who encouraged Iraq to attack, leading to a brutal eight year war helped by Saudis, Kuwaitis and Emiratis and US imposed draconian sanctions..all these things didn’t allow Revolution to emerge out of its reactionary phase to develop a healthy relationship with it’s minorities and genuinely liberal forces in the world - though they kept trying and the eight year long negotiation which brilliant Ali Larijani, follower of Emanuel Kant, initiated (2007) and meticulously managed in a six party negotiations with the US & West leading to JCPOA (2015) was a huge success of international diplomacy; it was unfortunately torpedoed by Zionists using Trump - first major foreign policy decision of the new President - Rest is history!!

@MNaqi15 Qasim, Thanks! Watched - but I am aware of this perspective; it has its strengths and weaknesses! If she can exist in Houston’s anti-Muslim atmosphere, and dress the way she does why can’t liberal Iranian women walk around without head scarves in Tehran?

Agreed & Disagreed - Protests in recent years, and especially the ones that started in December 2025, were orchestrated by Mossad, under Netanyahu’s strategy of fracturing the government and regime change, and elements of foreign influence in previous protests (2009) can’t be ruled out - yet, Women Activists, Feminists, Western Liberals, Writers, Film makers and dissenting voices of all sorts were not Always agents of the West, they couldn’t be, there will always be dissent, if we extend your ideas to our own dissent in the US then we will all become enemies of the state - just like Trump, Pete Hegseth & JD Vance see us - Regarding women education, it’s vertical and horizontal spread your point is 100% correct, Revolution contributed to massive distributive justice of all sorts at all levels, and as I have argued, had it found some basic accommodation with its external enemies (Arabs & Zionists) it would have transformed the region for better - but it frightened both the Arab monarchs and Zionists and could never develop the confidence to tolerate dissenting voices- all dissenting voices could naturally (& often accurately) seen as fifth columnists sponsored by the external enemies- by the way, you have an excellent understanding of Iran’s contemporary history and if you are not from Iran, I am impressed - or may be you are an academic or journalist?

The "creative spirit" you mentioned. The so-called "western liberal women" and rioters have always been funded and amplified by Zionists and Mossad. Just look at the tweet from former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who he openly said Iranian protesters and "every Mossad agent walking beside them" in the streets during the unrest. Mossad's own Farsi account bragged about being "with you in the field" alongside rioters. That's foreign regime-change ops trying to break Iran, the same way sanctions and Iraq's invasion were designed to strangle the Revolution.

No, Clerical Regime also couldn’t find an accommodation with Iran’s creative spirit- may be if Iraq was not unleashed upon the revolution and brutal sanctions were not imposed, revolution would have evolved to find an accommodation with women, minorities and the western liberals to break the stranglehold of Zionists & Evangelicals..they tried repeatedly though but were made to fail

@MoeedNj Living in West, it’s understandable that you unjustifiably push mullahs into the mix, otherwise you’ll lose your credibility and utility in the eyes of the white master.

Well Written! But President has totally lost his way! He now needs to “War” to end his “Excursion”
Jon Hoffman@Hoffman8Jon

On Trump’s 10-day pause and the prospect of negotiations. Washington is feeling the heat yet continues to misunderstand its adversary. First and foremost, Trump’s post is aimed at trying to calm global markets. Economically, the war has already had dramatic negative ramifications—no number of Truth Social posts to the contrary will change this. Gas prices continue to climb within the United States, averaging nearly $4/gal. When Trump first posted about possible negotiations this past Monday, crude oil prices plummeted from a peak of $101 to a low of roughly $87, ending at roughly $92. Prices also dropped this time, but not near as much—Truth Social posts can’t mask the impact on the global energy market. Today, oil prices dropped from a high of roughly $95 dollars to a low of $92 dollars, and currently stand at roughly $93. The markets are adapting to his gaslighting. Even if the war ends today, experts believe higher prices will persist into early winter. Today, US stocks also had their biggest drop since the war began. Oil is not the only economic factor to watch. The 10-yr treasury yield also rose today to its highest point since July 2025 (meaning higher interest rates). The war has wiped out roughly $11.5 trillion in global equities and more than $2.5 trillion from the value of global bonds. Second, Trump’s post is likely an attempt to test the waters and gauge Tehran’s interest in negotiations. Yet, he continues to fundamentally misunderstand his adversary. From what has been leaked to the media, Trump’s demands remain maximalist despite Tehran having tremendous leverage over the global energy market. The regime has not collapsed, is unlikely to collapse, and is currently run by a more extreme cadre of IRGC who feel they are creating a new status quo between Tehran and Washington—one that can only be sustained by keeping the pressure high. Tehran is prepared for a prolonged war of attrition. Absent considerable concessions from the United States, Tehran feels it has not yet inflicted a high enough level of pain to prevent this from happening again. If negotiations proceed, the regime will want credible assurances the Trump and Israel will not attack again. They don’t want this to happen a third time—they want any settlement to be lasting. As Trump scrambles behind the scenes, he is also sending more troops to the Middle East for a possible ground invasion into Iranian territory, likely Kharg Island and potentially some other small islands off the coast—perhaps even parts of the coast itself. This would be disastrous for the United States. Washington has reached the point of diminishing returns at the tactical level. Seizing Kharg Island will not eliminate Iran's ability to export oil. Nor will further escalation will not change the calculus of the regime, particularly when it comes to the Strait of Hormuz, which remains their greatest source of leverage. If Trump proceeds with this plan, Iran will increase its attacks on both critical energy infrastructure in the region and the US soldiers themselves. At that point, it’s game over, and an offramp to keep this from spiraling out of control—if it hasn’t already—will likely be lost.
