@gooficat @Shaatirtheman i don't necessarly think its okay, i think that it should be pushed much higher if im being honest but as i said 18 is standard and has been standard for decades, while in some countries the age of consent can go as low as 11-12 so its a much bigger issue

@moeroccan @Shaatirtheman It's not set at 18 due to the reasons you think. The reason is because that's when school typically used to finish and work started. It's as simple as that. And since the brain growth doesn't finish at 18 or even close, you can throw out that half of your argument

@moeroccan Then explain to me why 18 is considered to be an adult and not when you turn 30 or something? By your definition an 18-25 year old isn’t an adult 😭 Also there is people younger than 18 who are mentally mature, i’ve met some of them

@moeroccan Literally a lot of 15 year olds are physically and mentally adults 😭 When i was 15, people thought that i was an adult because i definitely looked the part and was mature enough for an adult Of course not all 15 year olds are like that, some 20 year olds aren’t either
