@CherifBars58789 @AirCanada "It will be a cold day in hell before I allow twins to cross the atlantic" - The FAA director when asked about twin jets There used to be a real fear of flying on a plane with only 2 engines since every other flight you'd have an engine failure, so i can understand the trauma

@AirCanada I’ve never crossed the Atlantic in a twin and I don’t think I could ever get used to something like that.

@Gologolum @moesif_ @Beafirechick That doesn’t answer my question. Are those salary examples of an FO on the Dreamliner & the Triple extreme/exceptional examples? Do all FO on the 787 with 2yrs seniority make $64.0K/yr? 2 yr seniority w AC or on that plane? What’s the pay scale different for an FO vs an RP?

This is why Air Canada pilots are putting up a strong fight. These salaries are almost unbelievably low for the responsibilities being held. Meanwhile Executives are among the highest paid in north America. #AirCanadaPilots #aircanada #strike #aviation

@Stashiv82 That's a general google search result from a random source. I gave you the actual numbers pulled directly from Air canada's pilot contract. Pretty obvious which one is more relevant

@LlCuore Would you believe it if I told you Flair, the airline that charges $50 tickets has their starting salary higher than any air canada pilot by a long shot?? Pilot salary does not make a real impact on ticket price

@Remlam @BD416X Again you keep saying that it's been resolved but there are no evidence of that whatsoever. Yes it will get changed, everything will change. but you don't know by how much. And clearly whatever they've proposed isn't enough as we're nearing a strike

@moesif_ @BD416X I’ve been following for a long time and spent enormous amount of time on the subject. I’ll say it again. The yr1-4 was the low hanging fruit. If it was just that they would have been resolved a year ago. This is about the high paid pilots wanting more (USA) salaries in Canada

@Gologolum @CoswaySalesCan @BD416X It takes so long that most guys get to forced retirement before qualifying for it. The only ones that hold that position are the ones that were lucky to join the company young and served 30+ years. But air canada just likes to throw big numbers around to get public reactions

@CoswaySalesCan @BD416X @moesif_ How long do you think it takes to get to a 777 captain position? First officers on 777 AC are making what is on the screenshot. Less paid 777 FO in the WORLD!

@moesif_ There are no ways these are real salaries? That’s absurd compared to what literally any airline is paying.

@InvestorBusine3 @3kwords Exactly. Let the free market run its course. We have a corporation with a history of government assistance when it comes to labour disputes trying to force their way agaib with assistance. Its quite the opposite of supply and demand

@moesif_ It is an entry level job for flying for Air Canada. If your claim that there is a shortage of candidates is correct (which I doubt) then Air Canada will raise salaries as a matter of its own self interest. No need to strike!

@3kwords Not really. This is not at all an entry level job as you need many years of experience to qualify They've had to cancel multiple groundschools this year due to a lack of candidates who are willing to start at that salary. Because of supply and demand...

@moesif_ There are dozens of qualified applicants lining up for each available entry-level job at Air Canada. Airline pilots are just as subject to the laws of supply and demand as the rest of us.

THIS is what air canada pilots make. Dispite the massive misinformation campaign by the company, most are struggling to get by and some make less than 60k #Aircanada #pilots #ACpilots

@nqthomas_avgeek @GrumpyMaxGato This is not an RJ operation. Air canada is the flag carrier and equivalent to Delta/United. Why does it seem like you want your peers to suffer?

@GrumpyMaxGato @moesif_ I was just in Canada this summer. I paid same price for the same items in Canada as I do in the US. So again if you can’t live on 51k you are doing something wrong and living more lavishly then you should. Not that long ago RJ pilots were in food stamps here.

@TouchKeepi14986 @kimmiesor What are you on about? There's no such thing as a weight premium. Its salary + flying over 75 flight time which most of the time is 0-5 hours a month. This doesn't include any work done without the plane moving. You're overcomplcating it when i just showed you a whole T4 summary

@kimmiesor @moesif_ They're on salary every if they don't step into a cockpit. Plus flight time, weight premiums and more. Anyone can google the contract. $23/hr is bs and you know it. Attendants get more than that. Anything over 75hrs/month is premium pay as well.
