This week's possible heat index is INSANE! While St. Louis has dealt with a lot of heat waves over time, very few can compare to the one experienced in 1936. Find out about the summer when temperatures climbed above 100°F not once, but 37 times: mohistory.org/blog/37-days-o…

It's a Barbie world, and we're all just living in it! Before catching the new #BarbieTheMovie, check out these vintage cases for Barbie, Ken, and Midge dolls that are part of our collections. The cases, which include storage for doll clothing and accessories, are from the 1960s.

What gets done when we're closed to the public on Mondays? Well, a lot of different things like dusting off the statue of Thomas Jefferson! Staff members from @mohistlibrary and our intern Kirstan had to use a lift to clean one of the largest objects in our collection.

We're celebrating #CowAppreciationDay with this picturesque photo from our collections of a cow standing in a creek on Marriott's Farm. 🐄 What animal would you like to see next?

One of our favorite things to do is share glimpses from the past of beloved St. Louis institutions, like @LaumeierArtStL , which opened #OnThisDay in 1976. In this photo from our collections, students were on a field trip to the sculpture park in 1987.
