The event saw over 100 enthusiastic participants begin their day with an energetic Zumba session, followed by activities like pickleball, cricket, dodgeball, yoga, badminton, and an exciting tug of war. The true highlight was the spirit of participation across age groups, with women from 23 to 59 years coming together with equal energy and enthusiasm. The event was further elevated by the presence of Meenakshi Rawat, Chief Vigilance Officer and Brand Ambassador of BPCL Fit Divaz, who shared her remarkable journey of resilience, returning to fitness and going on to run 21K. Manasi Joshi, Paralympian badminton player, also inspired participants with her powerful words. BPCL marked a significant achievement as Hon’ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Dr. Jitendra Singh, graced the 16th Annual EEF Global Award 2026, where Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited received the Platinum Award for “Renewable Energy Solutions for Sustainable Growth.” Conferred after a rigorous evaluation by a distinguished jury, this recognition highlights BPCL’s focused efforts in advancing innovative and sustainable energy solutions. The award was received by Shri Sachin Kajrolkar, Team Member – Renewable Energy, and Shri Shyam Sundar Bhattacharyya, Assistant Manager – Renewable Energy. It reflects the organisation’s strategic commitment to integrating renewable energy into its core operations while contributing meaningfully to India’s evolving energy landscape. A key contributor to this achievement is the Prayagraj solar power plant, which is expected to generate approximately 103.61 million units of green electricity annually. By supplying power to BPCL’s refineries in Mumbai, Bina, and Kochi, the plant is projected to reduce carbon emissions by nearly 75,150 metric tonnes each year, equivalent to the environmental benefit of planting around 1.25 crore trees.
