@DG_mustaf of @moi_swss had a fruitful discussion with @UNDPSomalia national team in Baidoa under state building, reconciliation and Stablization support projects for SWS. Progreses made so far, ongoing activities, and challenges in 2023 were discussed along the plans for 2024.

As the situation in SWS deteriorates due to Elnino effect, @MoHADM along @moi_swss chaired Weekly Elnino Response meeting. Elnino updates, gaps & efforts were discussed. It’s worth mentioning that HE @arush was busy supervising the pple affected by the flash foods in Baidoa.

Urgent Situation & Appeal. Today, the State-level #ElNino #Response Committee held meeting with the business sector , seeking their support in response to the crises. 498,752 pple in #SWS urgently need assistance due to the devastating impacts of #ElNiño floods.@Laftagareen

@moi_swss conducted #sws regional & mayor’ forum in Baidoa. A lot has been discussed including but not limited to; pre-liberation plans,service delivery , humanitarian response,materialisation of #SWS conflict navigator, climate adaptation etc.@UNDPSomalia @UNSSC @MoIFARSomalia

@moi_swss organized 4 days enumerators training for Communal Data Collection linked 2 conflict navigator. In final day the enumerators will collect data on conflict mapping from SWS Mayors & Governors during the Mayors forum@ 1st Nov. thanks to @UNDP for the generous support.
