@nunjesus @b_martins @USEmbPortugal Thanks, we are currently evaluating that option but it does not seem viable, especially since we'll probably be able to travel back without the NIE waiver in November anyways (30 days vs 15 days without the added cost)

@moitagarcia @b_martins @USEmbPortugal Probably not what you want, or can, do, but you can still enter the US if you quarantine in another country. Example: fly to Aruba, do quarantine there, fly to the US.

.@USEmbPortugal my wife and I are currently unable to return to the US due to unannounced delays in the processing of NIE visa waivers (we have L1 and L2 visas). How can we know how big of a delay we should expect? Our jobs are potentially at risk, we've tried everything else.

@USEmbPortugal Already did, unfortunately the only response was an automated email that still mentions "NIE waiver requests require up to 20 business days for processing" which is not true based on the info provided via phone call "there is a delay, can't tell you how many days"...

More people die from suicide than all other forms of violence combined. People are struggling. I see a lot of outrage online at the moment. What I don't see much of is compassion. As Gandhi said: "An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind."
