I once experienced being treated poorly by someone who believed they were above others, judging, dismissive, nasty and quick to make people feel irrelevant just because they had less visibility or influence. It wasn’t just disappointing, it was revealing. Character always shows, especially in how someone treats others when they think it doesn’t matter. Now, life has come full circle, and she finds herself in need. I can’t help her personally, but I happen to know someone, someone who crossed my life not long ago, who could. And that alone says a lot about how unpredictable and interconnected life really is. Still, I don’t hold on to resentment. I also don’t have any contact with her anymore, so be it. Not every bridge is meant to be rebuilt, and not every lesson requires closure. At the end of the day, I simply wish her and everyone else luck. Never treat a janitor with disrespect while treating a CEO with white gloves.
