Breaking update on Fuel prices again: EPRA announces a slight drop in fuel prices after cutting VAT from 13% to 8%. New prices: — Petrol: Sh197 — Diesel: Sh196 — Kerosene: Sh152

Right lads, I rewatched the Sporting first leg last week and some details we must be aware of, presuming that they use similar ideas: - At our GKs, they didn’t push one of their CBs high in the press, meaning we had a numerical advantage in build up, specifically in midfield (Rice/Ode/Zubi vs their pivot). I expect this will change as the game progresses if they are still behind. - Nominal 4-4-2 OOP mid block utilised against us when we were away from GKs. Their right winger would jump to our WCB in the back three. As a result, the numerical advantage comes from one of our CMs stepping into the backline to form the three. Why? Because when their right winger jumps, the ball side pivot midfielder (their left sided midfielder) is overloaded 2v1 as we push our FB high. This is why Rice and Ode were screaming for Zubi to step into the backline in the first half. - At their GKs and as they build out in a nominal 4-2 shape, excluding their GK, once the pass is played into the LCB, their right sided pivot player (Morita) drops really low to draw Rice in, whilst their left sided pivot player (Simoes) looks to drift wide to open up the centre for one of the forward players to drop and receive. Their left sided pivot player simultaneously makes blindside runs in behind once the pass is played into the centre. We dealt with this in the first leg. - We need to watch out for the big diagonal from their CBs. Noni needs to be disciplined here. Far too often he jumps too early, which leaves Zubimendi and White stretched. Hopefully this all makes sense :) Will be back writing on my Substack soon! Been a hectic couple of weeks.
