I watched the whole inspection video of மாண்புமிகு அமைச்சர் Keerthana there is more in that video. the students were reading the passage from the book. Minister stopped it and said these students are just doing மனப்படாம் and didn’t know the meaning of it. went ahead and asked the kids “what is the meaning of TENDERNESS” students answered it. went on and asked “our love is everlasting-னா என்னது?” the girl from the 1st bench stood up and answered the question. minister just nod the head and went on to ask “everlasting மட்டும்” the girl brilliantly answered for this one too. minister just nod her head and looking at the last benches. some other girl from the last bench answered as well. NOT EVEN A SINGLE APPRECIATION GIVEN by the minister. No claps. No encouraging words. shifting goal post maathiri went ahead and asked about spoken English and what is your dad question. sigh! what is their actual intention? they answered her question but got a name that they didn’t even understand a simple question. Just look at the eyes of that child. ஒரு சிறிய பாராட்டு would have boosted the moral of those kids and the image of the minister. the kid would’ve remembered the whole incident as “got claps from minister” memory. but reality 💔🥺

If Parandur isn’t happening, just give off MAA to Adani. I’m sure Chennai ain’t getting an airport in the next 5 years. At least Adani might prevent ceiling collapses and keep the toilets clean unlike AAI.

BREAKING NEWS: Aswath S becomes India's 98th and latest Grandmaster! Aswath scored his 3rd and final Grandmaster norm at the Pune International GM Round Robin 2026 to become a Grandmaster. He had to win on demand in his final round game today! And he did - Aswath took down FM Kannan Vaidyanathan with the Black pieces, finishing the tournament with 7/9 points and clinching the norm. Aswath scored his first GM norm by winning the strong Grenke Open A 2025 ahead of several strong Grandmasters. His 2nd GM norm came at the First Saturday GM Round Robin Budapest in December 2025 - he won that event as well scoring 7/9 points! He crossed 2500 FIDE Rating as well in the same event. And the final norm came in India, at Pune! Speaking to Aswath's trainer GM Shyam Sundar, he said: " Aswath is Hardworking and a dedicated player. He has no social media distractions, and he is fully focused and a determined player. He is also a very good person!" A special note of thanks to the two people who made this amazing tournament into a reality - India's 4th Grandmaster Abhijeet Kunte and famous Standup Comedian Balraj Ghai. Balraj accommodated and hosted the tournament in one of the finest establishments in Pune, the Fern Habitat Hotel! Abhijit Kunte was the man who was behind organizing the entire event - when asked for a statement, he mentioned " It's a tribute to my father - all the credit goes to him." Abhijeet's father Prakash Kunte found the Buddhibal Kreeda Trust, and conducted so many strong events in Pune over the years! His dream was always to conduct GM norm events - unfortunately, he passed away yesterday, but his legacy lives on through this event. A huge congratulations to Aswath, his team and his family for this amazing achievement. And what a special moment for Indian Chess as well - the 97th Grandmaster, Harshavardhan GB came from the Chola Chess GM Norm Invitational.
