From the @6d_ai lab. Building a 3D model of the world means fusing crowdsourced scans into huge models & here's a demo of that in action. The model is a SLAM map, it improves every scan & map coords are real world coords. Imagine using it for remote authoring of Location Based AR

In a 10h experiment we thought about future design displays. This is a @LeapMotion, connected to a holographic @LKGGlass desk scene and a drawing robot translating your 3D movement to a paper drawing.

The takeaway of this years #OFFF19: Much more generative, more installation, more dynamic and non-prerendered 3d. If you get one thing from @OFFFest it's "physical"... Rendering is dead. @Onionlab_ had low tech 3d glasses and vr/ar and data driven projectormapping was everywhere.

The developers asked the artists which Photoshop tools (blend modes mostly) they were used to and rebuild them within unity and wrote a whole guidebook for the artists on which effects were the most "expensive" for performance. They practiced an "art first" approach. #OFFF19

While @nomadastudiobcn was mostly showing off their incredible game, what was really interesting was their designer vs developer spread. At some point they had up to 18 artists involved, while at all time only 2 programmers. 1/2 #offf19 @OFFFest
