Computer science is gradually returning to the domain of physicists, mathematicians, and electrical engineers as large language models automate much of what we currently call software engineering. The field’s center of gravity is shifting away from manual code writing and toward deeper theoretical thinking, mathematical insight, and systems-level reasoning.

What if there’s a private community for everyone building in the startup space in Africa on twitter? And what if it’s actually well curated that everyone can’t just join, and you actually have to be building (doesn’t matter how small) I’m going to bed now, Hopefully a couple of people RT this and startups founders across Africa are interested in this. ✌🏽 x.com/i/communities/…

Programming was deeply satisfying work to me. Work for hours/days before getting the payoff of the code working well on your machine. I’m feeling so much friction now to open the editor and do this kind of task by hand, but also increasingly depressed with the nature of work in an AI assisted dev workflow. Back and forth prompting seems to eat at my soul. Need to find a balance that brings back some of the toil.

You're 23. Stressing like you're 40. Because you want to be rich before 30.
