You want details? Fine. I drive a Ferrari, 355 Cabriolet. What’s up? I have a ridiculous house in the South Fork. I have every toy you could possibly imagine, and best of all, kids? I am… @TeamLiquid
@MagnusCarlsen lmao where was this energy when you drew fabi like 12 times in a row in classical chess and were happy to go tie breaks in rapid/blitz chess to decide. that was much more worthy of sharing the title
I’ve never prearranged a draw in my career. In the video I’m joking with Ian in a situation with lacking decisive tiebreak rules. This was obviously not an attempt to influence FIDE. It was said in the spirit that I thought FIDE would agree to our proposal. If anything it was a bad joke given the gravity of the situation.
I think the match itself showed two players playing high level chess, equally matched and both deserving of a win.
@Mariners yall are getting too predictable every game is chaotic. i think you should have a low stress win tomorrow to switch it up (pls my heart cant take this anymore)
@visacashapprb i know it didnt matter in the end but i need someone to explain to me why we didnt pit ricciardo under the second safety car like bro what
@Mukherjea@DanielRensch fabi and nepo are both in a must win situation. there is almost no chance that game ends in a draw. and gukesh is a massive underdog in rapid against anyone. hikaru will be going all out for the win so gukesh has better chances to win the classical game than tiebreaks
@monach1a@DanielRensch First of all, there's no guarantee Fabi/Nepo is decisive and Gukesh must think his chance of beating Fabi in rapid is much higher than the chance of beating Nakamura with black in a classical game.
I keep replaying the “meta” of each player’s mindset headed into tomorrow’s #FIDECandidates games. How direct they can be, how the psychology will impact the openings they choose, AND how hard they’ll have to fight just to KEEP fighting chances alive…
But no matter how you cut it, every player besides Gukesh simply MUST win. When do you ever see this? Second place literally means nothing.
