My thoughts after 24 hours of Marathon Pros - My favourite aesthetic of any game, ever. I may be faded but I think this could win art direction at the game awards - Guns feel and sound weighty and satisfying to use in typical Bungie fashion - Audio is crisp and accurate, listening out for footsteps is super reliable - Games feel fun and rewarding, never thought an extraction shooter would be my thing but the loot chase hits like crack - Lore heavy - Post launch content sounds incredible Cons - Shotguns and Snipers are OP - Equipping mods could be simplified, at the moment if I hover over a mod, it shows me what weapon I can put it on. I think it’d be better and quicker if I hovered over a weapon instead and it showed me what mods I can equipin turn it would help avoid clutter - The UI isn’t actually that difficult to understand once you get used to it but the onboarding process could use some work, feel like people get turned off before they’ve even really begun to play I’ll have a more in depth review the more I play as I’m on Outpost now which is meant to be a huge step up in a bunch of different ways. All in all, I love this game so far, and plan to support it long term with my time and my wallet 💸 Also, fuck your steam charts #marathonthegame
