I lost $14,000 to 4 prop firm shutdowns. That's why Monetro exists — and why our Wave 1 Founding Traders are now 60 days in on rules I wanted as a trader: static drawdown, 80% split, fees from $29. We publish what happens next — passes, failures, payouts. All of it.

$200K challenge, price receipt: FTMO — €1,080 (~$1,170) Monetro Evolution — $999 Monetro Endurance — $749 Same account size. Our side: 80% split, static drawdown, raw ECN cTrader, payouts averaging ~8 hrs. Compare rulebooks line by line, then decide.

Trailing drawdown rises with your profits and locks in your gains as new loss limits. Static doesn't. Monetro's max drawdown is fixed from initial balance — 10% on Evolution and Endurance, 6% on Velocity. Topstep trails. Read both rulebooks before you pay anyone.

I lost $14,000 to 4 prop firm shutdowns. Every reset I'd paid for died with them. A reset isn't just a retry fee — it's a bet that the firm outlives your challenge. We built Monetro so you bet less: one fee per attempt ($29–$999), static drawdown, 80% split.

Daily drawdown, side by side: Topstep: ~2% of account, equity-based, resets 5pm CT, hard caps $1K/$2K/$3K. Monetro: 4% (Velocity) or 5% (Evolution/Endurance) — always from initial balance. Tighter daily caps end more challenges. Ended challenges sell more resets.

Old belief: failing a challenge means you weren't ready. The reversal: at most firms, the failed challenge IS the product. A reset at FTMO costs the same as the original fee — every attempt. "Unlimited attempts" is a menu. Your firm + drawdown rule? Reply below.

I lost $14,000 to 4 prop firm shutdowns. I know what it's like to fund someone else's business model while trying to build your own. Monetro is my answer: pricing public at checkout ($29–$999, one-time per attempt), static drawdown, 80% split. Honest or nothing.

Prop firm math nobody explains: industry pass rates run 8–15%. Fail at FTMO and a retry costs the full fee again — €1,080 (~$1,170) at $200K, every attempt. When most customers fail and every failure gets billed again, failure isn't a bug in the model. It's the revenue line.

I lost $14,000 to 4 prop firm shutdowns. Most of it wasn't the challenge fees — it was resets. Fail, pay again, fail, pay again. That loop is the business model. So at Monetro we made drawdown static and kept the split at 80%. Pass once, get paid.

Where the money is really made when you fail: Topstep: $149 activation + a monthly subscription that bills whether you pass, fail, or reset. Monetro: one fee per attempt, $29–$999. 80% split. Payouts avg ~8 hrs. Count the recurring charges before you fund.

The reset-fee trap has two parts most traders miss: 1. A trailing drawdown that tightens as you profit, so you bust near the finish line. 2. A retry fee waiting when you do. Monetro's drawdown is static from your initial balance. Fewer resets by design.

I lost $14,000 to 4 prop firm shutdowns. What stung most was how normal the retry felt — pay again, swear the next attempt is the one. The retry is where these firms live. Monetro takes one fee per attempt, $29–$999, and mostly wins when you get paid: 80% split, ~8-hour payouts.

$10K account, one attempt, from the checkout page: FTMO: €155 (~$168) Monetro Evolution: $79 Monetro Endurance: $59 Same 2-step path to funded on Evolution — about 53% less. Static 10% drawdown from initial balance, 80% split, one fee per try.

Honest one: FTMO refunds your challenge fee when you pass — we don't. But at 8–15% pass rates, that refund is a bet most traders lose, and FTMO keeps €155–€1,080 when they fail. Monetro's fee is lower up front ($29–$999), so less is riding on the pass.

I lost $14,000 to 4 prop firm shutdowns. Every firm that took it sold cheap resets — the retry was always the real product. Monetro charges one fee per attempt, $29–$999, and earns when traders get paid: 80% split, ~8-hour average payouts. Built from the other side.

$200K account, one attempt, from the checkout page: FTMO: ~$1,170 (€1,080) Monetro Evolution: $999 Monetro Endurance: $749 Same funded target. Ours: static 10% drawdown from initial balance, 80% split, one fee per try — no monthly meter.

The cheapest challenge is rarely the cheapest firm. With 8–15% pass rates, most prop revenue comes from resets — the sticker price is just the first payment. Before you buy, ask what a second attempt costs. At Monetro it's one flat fee per try, $29–$999. No meter.

A reset fee is a second entry fee with better branding. Before you buy any challenge, ask one question: is the drawdown static or trailing? Trailing drawdown rises with your balance — it's how winning traders still fail. Monetro's is static from initial balance, on every model.

I lost $14,000 to 4 prop firm shutdowns. Underneath each one was the same engine: challenge fees and reset fees from traders who fail. We built Monetro to earn when traders win — 80% split, static drawdown from initial balance, payouts averaging ~8 hours. That's the whole pitch.
