On January 9, 2026, Kaden Rummler (a 21 year old college student) was protesting the fatal murder of Renee Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Santa Ana, California. Witnesses and video footage show GestapICE approaching the crowd and firing "less-lethal" projectiles (identified by some as pepper balls or kinetic rounds) AT CLOSE RANGE at protesters. Eyewitnesses and video footage showed Kaden Rummler was holding a megaphone and shouting when he was struck in the face by these so called "less-lethal" projectiles. Rummler’s family and medical reports confirm he underwent SIX HOURS of surgery for a ruptured. eyeball and skull fractures. He has been left permanently blind in his left eye. @Koala_Laurelin @pariah_ex I think a lot of people don't really get that inconsistencies are still present even in genuine art. They see something like grass kind of blending with a boot and thing "aha, that's AI!" when it's really just artistic expression/a bit of color blending.

@pariah_ex I'm so tired of people who don't understand anything accusing artists of using AI. Even if the artist has been drawing for over 10 years. LOL.

@donwinslow What breaks my heart is she had a 6 year old son. A son who already lost his father in 2023. I’m not gonna agree with everyone here politically but there’s a little boy whose entire world is destroyed

But even if she didn't, not being a citizen wouldn't have given them the right to just kill her! Sure looks to me like she was trying to leave, her wheels positioned to turn, could have easily disabled the vehicle.

@veggie_eric Tried it with Russian years ago. It was decent at teaching me different words in Russian but absolutely dropped the ball on learning the Russian alphabet. I could recognize what the words were by pattern of letters but when it asked me to start spelling them out I couldn't.

Has anyone actually successfully learned a language using Duolingo Seems like a lot of cute graphics and satisfying sound effects but I'm not buying that it actually works...

@Pilot454647 @modernhistory Well, it helps that the photo they used of Patricia is 20 years old. This was at a dinner for a charity event in 2005, she would have been about 34 at the time. I've included a second photo of what she really looks like now. She's 54, Arnold Vosloo is 63.
