I ALSO got this when reopening my Vgen and immediately had alarm bells going off. I do believe people need to be more vigilant when it comes to phishing scams as this isn't the first of it's kind. A reputable company will never reach out to you via a commissioning form. Especially if that requires a call to action like policy updates or verification matters. You should even be weary of messages like this in DMs. "This message was not posted by a user." is an immediate lie. A company wouldn't need to write that if it were true. If you were still unsure, go into your settings and check if everything is in line. If there is no notes about needing to update your wallet for future transactions, then there was no policy change. Note that policy updates would be occurring within the site's built in notifications tray much like in the screenshot where I needed to fix something with my own payment stuff. ALWAYS check links before clicking them. Reverse search them at the very least. Get familiar with what phishing links look like. [kaggle.com/datasets/tarun…] And if you're still unsure then don't click it. Better safe than sorry. Also keep in mind that, even if all of the above checks out, no company is going to ask you for your bank details as a form of verification. That should be an immediate sign that something is off and that you need to report whatever account is trying to get you to do this. I will also note that this can happen to anyone. Even those who are usually careful with things like this. It's just good to make sure that people call out phishing scams like this to prevent others from falling for it. Please be safe out there ♥️
