The most important truth I've experienced time and time again is that merely the act of glancing towards God realigns the soul. He'll traverse any distance to meet you where you stand. He'll provide beyond your needs & fulfill wishes you've yet to find the words for. Your next step, He'll reveal, and your path, He'll pave. A mere glance, an honest gaze, is all it takes. A willing spirit, a surrendered heart, a humble posture, and open arms. It's where human efforts fall short that God's graces begin. And the sooner we turn to Him, the sooner we become who we were meant to have been

SERIOUS QUESTION: Do you ever just get this feeling that it's all wrong ?? Cement and traffic and malls and smart phones and high heels and fluorescent lights and food in plastic and living stacked on top of each other and debt and guns and kinda just anything that's not a stream and a field and trees and fresh produce and quiet and slow and real community ?? Does it ever just hit you deep in your gut that we've messed it all up and it's wrong ??

I have just been arrested by the police in Madrid, Spain. My phone and passport have been seized but I had a second phone in my pocket so I’m writing this from the back of the police car. Many men with ambition approach God only with agendas - a plan and outcome already in mind But the soul eventually becomes exhausted. We go to God bc of what we don’t know, what we can’t do on our own, for what we don’t already possess or have the wherewithal to ask for Sometimes the most potent prayer is simply remaining in His presence long enough for your nervous system to remember that He is God and you are not - that you need Him beyond anything else.
