@moonrin__ @Jack_Cobalt_fur Yeah just communicate it upfront and it won't be an issue. Like if people just wrote "Your comissions may take a couple years or not happen at all" then there would be a lot less upset people because then they'd know what they paid for.

Why can't the people I commission just do the fucking art I'm so sick of waiting months and months and months for commissions. It's Infuriating as much as it is disappointing because some of them I looked forward to commissioning again but after this wait, NEVER again

@Jack_Cobalt_fur I can't be angry with them because I think I understand how they feel. Plus, burnout is a serious thing that I have encountered and that is often difficult to get out of. I'm just explaining how it CAN work for some people; I don't know everyone's whole situation.

@Jack_Cobalt_fur I think many people forget that not all people are neurotypical. In my daily life, I face problems in my head that I DEFINITELY would not want to have and would get rid of, but I can't. I am an artist and a customer, and I have also been waiting for several arts for several years

@wildchargeart @Jack_Cobalt_fur I've found that even if you don't charge and tell people that the wait will be very long, they still get angry and offended. I've also decided not to charge in advance, unless I'm sure it's something simple that I can do quickly

@Jack_Cobalt_fur This is why i never take payment before I am ready to start working. I usually give an update of what point they are in the queue- a time estimate and then a reminder update when they are next in line.
