@ronsterd89 There is a dress code for delivery drivers? I am generally much more concerned with the accuracy of my food delivery than what the delivery person is wearing at the time of delivery. Are you being too harsh. YES. This is 2026, not 1956.

Am I wrong for giving my delivery driver a bad rating over her outfit? 🤔 Picture this: You order dinner, pay the fees, leave a tip, and wait for your food to arrive. You go out to meet the driver, and she pulls up looking like she literally just rolled out of bed. Tonight, my delivery driver stepped out of her car wearing full pajama pants, a hair bonnet, and slippers. She was carrying bags from multiple places and a drink, casually shuffling across the wet asphalt in her slippers like this was just a quick trip to her own mailbox. Listen, I am not saying you need to show up in business casual to deliver food. But if you are clocking in to work, handling people's meals, and meeting customers face-to-face at their homes, shouldn't there be a bare minimum standard of presentation? I ended up leaving a low rating because, honestly, what am I rewarding here? The slippers on the wet pavement? The fact that she got dressed half-asleep five minutes before picking up my food? If looking halfway presentable is too much to ask, maybe this isn't the right gig. Am I being too harsh, or has the standard for delivery drivers completely disappeared?

I found this in a handbag I thrifted yesterday. I didn't notice it until today. I wonder if I should go and let the thrift shop know. One of my friends says I definitely should return it. I told her I don't think I need to, but she insists she knows what she's talking about because she used to work as a thrift store manager before. Should I return it? I’m going to a wedding next weekend and can’t decide on shoes! The dress is vintage and has this gorgeous floral pattern, so I wanted shoes that either complemented it or kept things simple. I found option 1 (the floral block heels) from an amazing maker on a shop who does hand-painted shoes — she actually matched the colors to my dress from a photo I sent her. Option 2 is just simple nude strappy heels that I already own. Honestly, I can’t decide if I should go bold with the matching florals or keep it classic!

@edtechmathteach You should become a better teacher. You should be capable of giving the child confidence while also expressing realistic expectations that they understand and the classroom comprehends. This will lower the tension for everyone involved.

As a teacher, I struggle with the strategy of randomly calling on students to demonstrate understanding and to increase engagement. I hated it so much when I was a kid because I had crazy high anxiety and was terrified of getting an answer wrong in front of my peers.

Posting this for awareness and to see if anyone else has experienced… Had a 2 min tonic-clonic seizure last night and this happened afterwards. Awful neck pain, sickness too. Just posting for the reality of chronic illness and how we are brave but we are broken too.
