also even in the nonbinary character’s storyline you still have to make a binary choice about embracing their culture or not so. that one is kind of just funny like oh okay. ironic

it sucks so hard that it feels like that storyline was just set up to be ridiculed from the outset. there would always be push back against any portrayal of gender nonconformity regardless but i feel like they could’ve handled it so much better

one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to dialogue is when the characters are extremely self aware and talk like a therapist. "sorry my traumatic daddy issues which caused my bpd sometimes causes me to lash out at those i consider my found family" please im begging u to stop
