@moosecatear @forevermartin5 His wife has forgiven him,they are married and have two children. Rape or sexual abuse or coercion is NEVER acceptable and offenders must face punishment, however people also need a second chance unless they are flat out evil. This vitriol towards Di Zerbi is way out of line.

@forevermartin5 No, I get you. But I was saying that people are saying that because his partner has accepted it we all should too and either she's being coerced or she's an apologist too. She's not the barometer. Greenwood is just topical right now because of De Zerbi.

@moosecatear I'm not sticking up for him. Seems like he and his partner are putting it behind them and moving on. The people who get me are the ones who label him as the devil incarnate to somehow make themselves feel better about their own mistreatment of women. He's the perfect scapegoat.

@forevermartin5 Using the partner as an example isn't great though because he has a history of abuse. Lots of women are afraid of their partners and defend them because of this. I'm not saying this is the case but we can't rule it out.

@moosecatear 100% But there was much about his case which raised a lot of questions. He's still with his partner and they're getting on with their lives with their child. Hang them all if you want but I'm not sure that's the solution.

@moosecatear Greenwood is the poster boy rapist amongst many more professional footballer rapists. The most powerful man in the world is a paedophile and rapist ffs but Greenwood gets more grief. He shouldn't be singled out when he his partner and family are moving on with their lives.
