There's something about Laios' dad likely also being on the spectrum but going undiagnosed, viewing masking as the default, having his own hypercixations and communication style. Like there's a tragedy in that he could've understood laios better than anyone else, but-

@Bishopdile @nidohime @TheLilLemonSoda dude, most of the time especially in japan people know almost nothing about autism. mangaka could write a character with good autistic representation not even on purpose. that's why she didn't say "no he's not", she said "it wasn't in her intention". it just happens sometimes.
