The Minister of Public Service, Hon. Wilson Muruli Mukasa, has inaugurated the Interim Board of Trustees for the Public Service Pension Fund, marking another key milestone in the operationalisation of the Fund.

The Department of Management Services held a validation meeting with senior technical officers from various service delivery areas under the Ministry of Internal Affairs to review and validate the compendium of documented processes for the Ministry.

The proposed pay structure indicated that a headteacher at a government primary school will earn Ugx. 1.5 million a month up from Ugx. 980,000, while a deputy headteacher will have will have their salaries enhanced from Ugx. 773,000 to Ugx. 1.3 million. #GCICMediaReview

The M/PS, Hon. Wilson Muruli Mukasa, officiated at the closure of the orientation for H/HRM from Local Governments and District/City Service Commissions at NALI. He challenged attendees to apply their new skills to spearhead transformation and improve performance in the Service.

The 4th Kampala Regional Service Uganda Centre site meeting and inspection was held to assess progress on the renovation works at Posta Uganda, which will host the Kampala Regional Service Uganda Centre.

The Undersecretary /MOPS Mr. Irumba Rodgers Kaija presided over the 3rd KRSUC site meeting and inspection to assess the progress of the renovation works at Posta Uganda, which will host the Kampala Regional Service Uganda Centre.

The CSCU has organised the 5th Research Management committee meeting at NRCA. The team was to, present and discuss on various matters including, Report and action plan of the RMC Retreat, finalised benchmarking report, Terms of Reference and Standard Operating Procedures, etc.

The Hon.Minister of Public Service, chaired the Top Management Meeting held to consider and discuss pertinent matters, including the Board Charter for the Public Service Pension Fund (PSPF) and a presentation from the Civil Service College Uganda.

The Finance Committee of the Ministry of Public Service convened a meeting, to review cash limits for the Ministry.

The PS/MOPS , chaired a Senior Management Meeting, to review the FY2025/26 Q3 budget Monitoring report.

The PS MOPS convened a meeting between the Technical Working Group on the reform of the Public Service Pension Scheme and the consultant team supporting the appointment of the Interim Administrator of the Public Service Pension Fund to discuss the Terms of Reference for the role.

The department of PSI and New Wave Limited (Consultant), conducted a refresher training on Service Delivery Online Tool, to prepare Taskforce Members who will be deployed to the field.

The Ministry of Public service held a negotiation meeting for procurement of an actuarial consultant. The consultant will carry out actuarial valuation of the accrued past service pension and gratuity liabilities and derive actuarial equivalence for issuance of Retirement Bond.

The Ministry of Public Service successfully held a Taskforce Planning Meeting on the deployment and rollout of the online tool for tracking adoption and compliance with Service Delivery Standards, spearheaded by the Public Service Inspection Department.

The Department of HRPD held a one-day stakeholders’ engagement on the Knowledge Management Policy in the Public Service. The session provided a platform for discussion on key presentations, including the RIA and Draft Knowledge Management Policy, among others.

The Ministry of Public Service, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and other health partners, organised a one-day health camp at the National Records Centre and Archives to promote staff wellness.

The Permanent Secretary chaired a special Senior Management Meeting in the Ministry Boardroom. The meeting discussed additional resource requirements for Vote 005, and also received presentations on the PSPF Work Plan for FY 2026/27 and the Service Uganda Centres Work Plan.
