Music isn’t formal writing.
Songwriting is poetry, & poetry is allowed to bend the rules of language. Case in point, rappers who use English don't always adhere to perfect grammar - they bend grammar as they please. In the context of music, language is malleable

Musicians also fail to observe Ngeli whenever they do use Swahili and don’t feel irked by that at all. Why, for example, did We Are Nubia choose to sing “hio swali yako” when “hilo swali lako” wouldn’t have affected the flow. I get pissed whenever the song plays.
