Yesterday we had to harvest our peppers green because the demand for pepper has gone up. We would normally wait for fully ripped before harvesting but this time the story is different. This is the best time for farmers. 👍

INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION PRESS STATEMENT INEC CHAIRMAN HAS NO ACCOUNT ON X, DISREGARD PARTISAN FABRICATIONS The attention of the Office of the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has been drawn to a malicious and coordinated campaign of calumny circulating on social media. The false claim alleges that the INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, SAN, has, in the past, endorsed a partisan post on the platform X (formerly Twitter). The Commission wishes to state categorically that this allegation is entirely baseless, a total fabrication, and a figment of the imagination of its purveyors. For the avoidance of doubt, the INEC Chairman does not own or operate any personal account on X. He has at no time engaged in partisan commentary, nor has he ever associated himself with any political leaning or activity in his private or public capacity. This contrived X post is a desperate attempt to impugn the integrity and neutrality of the Chairman at a critical period when the Commission is focused on significant electoral reforms and preparations for upcoming polls. It is a needless distraction designed to stir public distrust in the electoral umpire. Beyond this partisan mischief, the Commission is aware that cybercriminals have been on the prowl, utilising fake social media accounts in the Chairman’s name to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians. We wish to place it on record that several of such fraudulent accounts had been identified and reported to security agencies in the past. This latest fabrication is merely a continuation of a criminal pattern aimed at exploiting the Commission’s profile for illicit gains. The Commission will not fold its arms while the character of its leadership is being assassinated by digital imposters and mischief-makers. We wish to notify the public that we are working in close collaboration with relevant security agencies and cyber-intelligence units to track and identify the individuals or groups behind this identity theft and misinformation. Let it be clearly understood that the Commission will ensure that these imposters face the full wrath of the law. Identity theft and the dissemination of deepfake or forged social media interactions are criminal offenses under the Cybercrimes Act. Those responsible for this mischief will be tracked and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others who believe the digital space is a safe haven for criminality. The general public is hereby urged to disregard this falsehood in its entirety. We will continue to disseminate official information regarding the Commission and the Chairman’s activities only through our verified institutional channels and formal press statements. The Commission remains undeterred and fully committed to its mandate of delivering free, fair, and credible elections for all Nigerians. It’s honestly comforting to see the Nigerian Presidency and our ever “independent” electoral body working this closely. The notice that INEC Chairman Amupitan does not have a social media account was well coordinated. INEC and the Presidency jointly circulating the rebuttal. 👍🏽

You can imagine leaving a rented space to your own permanent site, this man made it possible. I’ll forever be indebted you sir. Thank you for making this journey an easy one..." PRESS RELEASE INEC’S POSITION ON THE COURT OF APPEAL’S DECISION IN APPEAL NO. CA/ABJ/145/2026: SENATOR DAVID MARK V HON. NAFIU BALA GOMBE & ORS The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received: A letter from the law firm of Suleiman Usman SAN & Co. dated 16th March, 2026, titled: “RE: NOTICE OF PENDING PROCEEDINGS BEFORE THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT AND CAUTION AGAINST ANY PURPORTED RECOGNITION OF MR NAFIU BALA GOMBE AS ACTING NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF THE AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (ADC)” written on behalf of concerned stakeholders within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) A letter from the law firm of Summit Law Chambers also dated 16th March 2026 titled: “DEMAND FOR ENFORCEMENT OF THE ORDERS MADE BY THE COURT OF APPEAL, ABUJA DIVISION IN APPEAL NO: CA/ABJ/145/2026: SENATOR DAVID MARK V HON. NAFIU BALA GOMBE & 4 ORS” written on behalf of Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe. While the letter from Suleiman Usman SAN & Co urged the Commission not to recognise Mr Nafiu Bala Gombe as acting National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on account of the pending Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1819/2025: Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe v. ADC & 4 Ors. before the Federal High Court, Abuja, where the question of the leadership of the Party (ADC) is presently being contested, the letter from Summit Law Chambers, on the other hand, attached the certified True Copy of the Judgment of the Court of Appeal in Suit No. CA/ABJ/145/2026: Senator David Mark v Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe & Ors and requested the Commission to enforce the judgement of the Court of Appeal, including: Ceasing recognition of Senator David Mark and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Chairman and National Secretary respectively of ADC; Removing their names from the Commission’s portal; and Refraining from dealing with or recognising any actions taken by them in respect of the party in line with the preservation orders made by the Court of Appeal. Subsequently, by another letter on the same subject matter dated 27th March, 2026, Summit Law Chambers alleged that the Commission had acted in disobedience of the Court of Appeal’s Orders by: i. Inviting Senator David Mark’s group to a political parties’ meeting held on Tuesday, 24th March, 2026; and ii. Monitoring a purported National Executive Committee meeting of that group. The solicitors (Summit Law Chambers) further drew the attention of the Commission to the Motion Ex-Parte and Motion on Notice filed by their client on 15th December, 2025, seeking to prevent the 1st Defendant (ADC) from holding any convention, congress, conference, or meeting and to stop INEC from attending, monitoring, observing or recognising any activities of the ADC. They accordingly requested INEC to invalidate the NEC meeting held by Senator David Mark's group on 25th March, 2026, remove the name of Senator David Mark's group from the INEC portal, stop recognising or acknowledging correspondence from them until the determination of the pending suit before the Federal High Court, Abuja and allow Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe to take over the affairs of ADC pending the determination of the case, and that INEC should respect the orders of the Court of Appeal in Appeal No. CA/ABJ/145/2026. ORDERS OF THE COURT OF APPEAL In its judgement delivered on 12th March, 2026, the Court of Appeal dismissed the interlocutory appeal by Senator David Mark and made amongst others, the following Orders: “Finally, it is necessary to make preservatory orders to ensure that the subject matter of the dispute pending before the trial court is not prejudiced as Courts have inherent powers to control and regulate proceedings to ensure justice...

Yesterday, Monday 30th March, I returned to the North's Commercial nerve centre, Kano, on the invitation of my dear elder brother, Senator, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso @KwankwasoRM, whose decision to join our party marks yet another significant step in the collective effort to rescue and rebuild our democracy and dear nation, Nigeria. As I have consistently maintained, this is the time for all opposition forces and well-meaning Nigerians to set aside their differences and work together in unity of purpose. Nigeria is at a critical stage in its history, one that demands sacrifice, courage, and selflessness from all of us. The challenges we face, economic hardship, insecurity, unemployment, and declining public trust, require more than rhetoric. They require deliberate collaboration, disciplined leadership, and a shared commitment to national progress. We must move beyond the politics of division, ethnicity, religion, and region, and embrace the politics of competence, character, capacity, compassion, and commitment to a better Nigeria. The task before us is not about winning elections alone; it is about rebuilding institutions, restoring confidence in governance, and securing a better future for our children. I therefore call on all members of the opposition, and indeed every patriotic Nigerian, to see this moment as a defining one. A moment that calls for unity over division, service over self, and nation over personal interest. A new Nigeria is POssible, but it will require all of us, working together, making sacrifices, and staying committed to the vision of a just, equitable, and prosperous nation. -PO

Funny thing that happened today: I literally felt someone’s hands in my pocket, taking my power bank and other stuff while we were struggling through the crowd to get into the venue… and I just couldn’t stop them. I knew someone was stealing from me, and I still didn’t care 😂

500 Layers Profit Calculation (Using 75% Production) Many people requested we calculate 500 layers for investors. Let’s break it down step by step using 75% production, not unrealistic 90%. Step 1. Daily Egg Production 500 layers × 75% production = 375 eggs per day 1 crate = 30 eggs 375 ÷ 30 = 12.5 crates per day So we can say about 12 to 13 crates daily. Step 2. Daily Revenue Price of egg per crate = ₦5,100 12.5 crates × ₦5,100 = ₦63,750 per day Step 3. Weekly Revenue 375 eggs × 7 days = 2,625 eggs per week 2,625 ÷ 30 = 87.5 crates per week 87.5 crates × ₦5,100 = ₦446,250 per week Step 4. Monthly Revenue 375 eggs × 30 days = 11,250 eggs per month 11,250 ÷ 30 = 375 crates per month 375 crates × ₦5,100 = ₦1,912,500 monthly revenue Feed Calculation Average feed intake for a layer is about 115g per day. 500 birds × 115g = 57.5kg feed per day Your feed bag is 25kg 57.5kg ÷ 25kg = 2.3 bags per day Daily Feed Cost Price per bag = ₦14,500 2.3 bags × ₦14500 = ₦36250 per day Weekly Feed Cost ₦36250 × 7 days = ₦253,750 per week Monthly Feed Cost ₦36,250 × 30 days = ₦1,087,500 per month Other Monthly Expenses Labor = ₦100,000 Medication, transport, emergency = ₦100,000 Total other expenses: = ₦200,000 monthly Total Monthly Expenses Feed = ₦1,087,500 Other expenses = ₦200,000 Total monthly expenses: = ₦1,287,500 Estimated Profit Monthly revenue = ₦1,912,500 Monthly expenses = ₦1,287,500 Estimated monthly profit: = ₦625,000 Profit Breakdown Daily profit estimate ≈ ₦32,900 Weekly profit estimate ≈ ₦247,000 Monthly profit estimate ≈ ₦988,000 ⸻ Now let’s decide the next calculation together. In my next post I will break down the total money needed from day-old chicks until they start producing eggs. But which farm size should we calculate first? ~Adebayo Qosim Abdulganiyu

HOW TO FARM CABBAGE FOR SEED PURPOSE Agriculture is really diverse and for cabbage farming just like every other crop, there are people who purposely farm cabbage for seed purpose. According to research, this is how to handle cabbage farming for seed. 1. Choose well-adapted varieties 2. Raise healthy, disease-free seedlings 3. Transplant with wider spacing (60–75cm) 4. Select firm, true-to-type heads only 5. Ensure proper isolation to prevent cross-pollination 6. Manage nutrients carefully (avoid excess nitrogen) 7. Harvest when 70–80% of pods turn brown and dry properly Cabbage (Brassica oleracea) is a biennial crop, so patience and proper management are key for successful seed production.
