@fordnation Time for you to threaten a 100% provincial sales tax. Sure, your hydro cut off threat, your US advertising, your Crown Royal stuff were all humiliating disasters, but a 100% PST on Chinese communist EV's would be a bold, strong stand for Ontario for once.

Make no mistake: China now has a foothold in the Canadian market and will use it to their full advantage at the expense of Canadian workers. The federal government is inviting a flood of cheap made-in-China electric vehicles without any real guarantee of equal or immediate investments in Canada’s economy, auto sector or supply chain. Worse, by lowering tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles this lopsided deal risks closing the door on Canadian automakers to the American market, our largest export destination, which would hurt our economy and lead to job losses.  To fix this mess, Prime Minister Carney and the federal government need to urgently step up and support Ontario’s auto sector. That means making the sector more competitive by ending the electric vehicle mandate, harmonizing regulations with key trading partners and scrapping federal fees that do nothing but add thousands to the cost of making vehicles and chase away investments. Instead of importing made-in-China vehicles, the federal government needs to be focused on working with Ontario to bring investment and jobs to factory floors in Brampton, Oshawa, Ingersoll and across the province, where assembly lines are at risk or have already left the country. Whether farmers or auto workers, Canadians expect and deserve a federal government that gives them every shot at success. I’m urging Prime Minister Carney to work with Ontario to strengthen Canada’s auto industry, not weaken it. Together, let’s protect Ontario and protect Canada.

@BiLLYd_licious Corruption. Amazon subsidies have to be made up somehow. Also due to corruption, you can get eBay packages mailed from China to Canada for only a few bucks -- a fraction of what it costs mailing back and forth between US and Canada.

Can someone explain to me why shipping to Canada from the US is so expensive?

I have determined that any list of perfect movies -- films that are complete visions without compromise and every scene builds perfectly until the end -- must include Conan the Barbarian. It is a perfect film in every way without flaw. And the disc commentary track is incredible.

Yes. It says our values are terribly skewed when guys like these get so overpaid it's ridiculous. And we have more deserving careers that barely squeak by...

@blackcatpoppies There certainly is a snowball effect to negativity. I'd be more inclined to say it's a function of social animals. Birds flying in formations, changing directions rapidly in synch an extreme example. But there's enough evidence of inexplicable psychic connections -- so who knows?

@morbid_comics I don't always do it, I'm no saint, but I try to send out whatever positive I can muster. I really think some of the bad things that go on in this world feed off of negative energy, and our access to instant communication compounds it.

I've got to come up with something positive and constructive re: my current and upcoming creative work, to post about -- instead of commenting on all the terrible fake people in the world and their schemes. They make the world dismal and are better handled in different ways.

I have really grown in my contempt for modern franchise horror movies. The greatest horror films I know of sometimes DID evolve into a franchise. But it was never PLANNED that way. There was no assembly line sausage factory approach from origin like @blumhouse and others.

Putin has repeatedly called out the West’s perversion and widespread pedophilia. He calls out the Western oligarchs’ plot to create biological weapons and manufacture biological crises to enrich themselves and steal elections via mail-in voting. Putin is as red-pilled as they come. They can’t have any of these truths on the airwaves, let alone on the biggest platform on the planet. If the public learn Putin is not the bad guy, the Deep State’s entire narrative crumbles.
