I'm sure she will be shocked at the kind of '(in)justice' we have in this country and the technicalities used to strike out the cases. Once again, Nigerians, the world, and @ChicagoState are waiting with bated breath for the ruling. We, the people of Nigeria, deserve the truth, and we deserve justice. Honourable Justice Nancy Maldonado, the ball is once again in your court! 'Vox Populi Vox Dei' - The voice of the people is the voice of God.

BREAKING.... 2027 POLLS: OBIDIENT MOVEMENT REBRANDS, SACKS PETER OBI, YUNUSA Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Nigerian political space came under more tension on Thursday with the immediate disbandment of the #Obidient Movement and expulsion of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi; one his disciples, Yunusa Tanko and all other persons appointed under the unauthorised leadership structure that emerged after the 2023 elections. Those behind the sacking premised the decision on political prostitution and its misuse for personal advantage and private gains. Consequently, the organisation has been rebranded to the #OBEDIENT Movement, to disengage it from Obi and his loyalists. Several calls, SMS and WhatsApp messages to Obi and Yunusa were not replied. Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja to unveil the organisation, the International Coordinator of the #OBEDIENT Movement, Dr Barry Avotu Johnson, clarified that it has not yet adopted any presidential candidate for 2027 and has ceased to have any dealings with Labour Party. According to him, the rebranding was necessary because after the 2023 elections, the original vision and founding ideals of the #Obidient Movement were no longer adequately represented by those who assumed control of its structure.

I JUST TOOK TIME TO COMPLETE THE WHOLE INTERVIEW! “THIS IS MY FAVORITE PART” Mehdi Hasan had already predicted the aftermath not out of arrogance, but out of the quiet confidence of someone who knew the questions were sharper than the answers waiting for them. What followed was less a debate and more a public autopsy. Clip after clip, circulating like evidence in the court of public reason. When rhetoric meets rigor, performance alone cannot survive the encounter. Tonight, social media isn’t “having fun.”
It’s simply replaying what happens when preparation meets presumption.

The i terrier was one of the most embarrassing things I've ever watched. Even though members of the audience were laughing at the denials that came out of Bwala's mouth. What a disgrace 😤 Each of the questions put to Bwala, which he denied, there's video evidence of him saying what he denied. 😆 It make me wonder if he forgot all the things that he said back then. LETTER TO PRESIDENT TRUMP ON THE RECENT ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON HE PETER OBI Dear President @realDonaldTrump, When an assassination attempt was made on your life, the world rightly condemned it as an attack on democracy. Notably, Peter Obi also publicly condemned that act of violence, affirming that political differences must never descend into bloodshed. Yesterday, there was what has been described as a state-sponsored assassination attempt on Mr. Obi, widely regarded as a leading presidential candidate and the people’s choice in Nigeria. The Federal Government and the Edo State Government must provide clear answers regarding the disturbing circumstances surrounding this incident. We respectfully call on you and members of the United States Congress to pay close attention and speak firmly against political violence directed at opposition figures under the administration of Bola Tinubu. Nigeria’s democracy is too fragile to endure a culture of intimidation, suppression, and violence. Allegations that political actors rely on thuggery and coercion to silence opponents strike at the very heart of democratic governance. No democracy can survive where fear replaces fairness and force replaces the ballot. We urge you, alongside the White House and distinguished members of Congress, to lend your voice in defense of democratic principles and to call for restraint, accountability, and the protection of opposition leaders in Nigeria. Political violence anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere. Nigeria must not be allowed to descend into a system where opposition voices are silenced through fear.

*In 1951 a politician bought a horse for a race at £50,000. The seller agreed to deliver the horse the next day.* In the morning of the next day, he drove up and said: "Sorry son, but I have some bad news. The horse is dead." The politician replied: "Well, just give me my money back then." The seller said: "Can’t do that. I’ve already spent it." The politician said: "OK, then, just bring me the dead horse." The farmer asked: "What are you going to do with it?" The politician said: "I’m going to raffle it off to the people as a speed horse that can win a race" The seller responded: "You can’t raffle a dead horse." Politician replied: "Sure, I can. Just watch me. You don't know the people, l will post wonderful pictures of a horse, I just won’t tell anybody it's dead. I will market it with propaganda and present it as capable of chasing criminals away" A month later, the seller met up with the politician and asked: "What happened with that dead horse?" Politician replied: "I raffled it off. I sold 1million tickets at £2 each and made a profit of £2m. *The seller was dazed and asked: "Didn’t anyone complain?"* *Politician said: "Just the guy who won. I told him the horse died on our way to deliver. So, I gave him back his £2 with apology. I told him l have refunded everyone. He consoled me and told me to keep it up that I am a good man.’ That, after all, I have suffered (a lot of loss). He prayed for me and called on God to bless me. Telling me that the country needs honest people like me to come and run for office".* LESSON *Dem don dey arrange demselves. The political raffle ticket will soon be back to sell to people another dead horse in 2027* I trust say our mumu don beleful us. Or else, sorry go be our name. Mumu too much.

What a joke! Can we truthfully take ourselves serious? Without saying the plans they have to clean up our tarnished image abroad, nor the plans they have for Nigerians in the diaspora, they have both taken a bow and the 'screening' is over. Again I say, what a joke!! With what seriousness will we be taken in the committee of nations? How can these nominees be true representatives of our great nation? A big shame to the National Assembly.

I think; looking back after the civil war; one of the biggest mistakes we made as a nation was not having a Truth and Reconciliation Commission. This could have been an opportunity for through fact finding investigations, restitution and Reconciliation (TRC)to have begun between the various regions. There are numerous instances where TRC's have helped heal nations and communities, around the world. South Africa: Focused on apartheid-era abuses. Sierra Leone: Focused on the aftermath of civil war. Ghana: Focused on the period of military rule and human rights violations. The specific mandates, powers, and approaches of each TRC varied considerably. Some had a very wide scope of operation whiles others had a more limited scope. The fact remains that for each of those TRC's, a conscious effort was made to RECONCILE THE VARIOUS PARTIES IN ORDER TO BRING LASTING PEACE. "Forgiveness is the key to action and freedom." - Martin Luther King, Jr. It's never too late to take this approach.

I honestly don’t have to say much more on this matter because myself and many others have already said enough for now. The only concern here is that what Peter Obi has stated here from the very first paragraph to the last is exactly what Sheikh Ahmed Gumi has been advocating for bandits “dialogue, constructive engagement and inclusivity.” We strongly disagreed with the Sheikh on his pursuit of amnesty for these terrorists, who have inflicted immense suffering on innocent individuals. Yet, now you are pushing for the very same approach for a convicted international terrorist, Nnamdi Kanu. With due respect, you are also a terrorist apologist, Sir.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Kanu’s Conviction: At a Time Like This. The news of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s conviction should compel every well-meaning Nigerian to pause and reflect. This is coming at a time when our beloved nation is facing severe economic hardship, insecurity, and the consequences of poor governance. Rather than reducing tension, this unfortunate development may well only aggravate it. I have always maintained that Mazi Kanu should never have been arrested. His arrest, detention, and now conviction represent a failure of leadership and a misunderstanding of the issues at stake. For years, I have consistently argued that dialogue, constructive engagement, and inclusive governance offer the path to lasting peace. Coercion becomes necessary only when reason has been exhausted. In this case, I submit that the reason was not only not exhausted, but was probably not explored at all, or not fully explored. The concerns Kanu raised were not unheard of. The issues for which he demanded solutions were not insoluble. It only required wisdom, empathy, and a willingness to listen. In any functional society, such grievances are met with dialogue and reforms aimed at strengthening unity. The government’s approach has only deepened mistrust and created an avoidable distraction at a time when citizens are overwhelmed by harsh economic realities and insecurity. While some may insist that “the law has taken its course,” leadership often demands more than a strict, mechanical application of the law. Nations around the world resort to political solutions, negotiated settlements, and even amnesty when legal processes alone cannot serve the broader interest of peace and stability. Nigeria is not an exception. The handling of Kanu’s case mirrors the government as a man trapped in a hole but who, instead of looking for a way out, keeps digging deeper. It worsens not only the government’s predicament but also the nation's collective condition. If we truly desire a new Nigeria - a united, peaceful, and progressive one, our leaders must choose healing over hostility, reconciliation over retaliation, and dialogue over division. Only by addressing grievances with justice, fairness, and compassion can we move towards a future where every Nigerian feels heard, valued, and safe. My ultimate call at this time, without prejudice to how anyone feels about the decision of the court, is for us to be optimistic for peace and reconciliation which will come in the end. I am also saying, thereby, that the Presidency, the Council of State and credible statesmen who love this country and who are interested in cohesion and inclusivity, should rise to the occasion, for a lasting solution. -PO

I'm not much of a Supporter of Nnamdi Kanu, but I am a big supporter of fairness and justice. Has justice really been served with this judgement? Has the measurement of his 'crimes' been proportionate to the punishment given? My humble opinion is no. I say this because we are all witnesses to bandits openly taking selfies whilst brandishing weapons, bandits calling for reconciliation meetings with villagers whilst holding hand-held rocket launchers and other sofisticated weapons. These men are walking around freely. Instead of arrests they are pardoned and renamed 'repentant bandits'. Where's the justice in that, if some laws are made for some but not for others? Everyone deserves a fair trial, no matter the tribe or religion. 'All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others' - Animal Farm

Nnamdi Kanu Sentenced To Life Imprisonment "The death penalty is now being frowned upon by the International Community, consequently and in the interest of justice, I hereby sentence the convict (Mazi Nnamdi Kanu) to life Imprisonment for the said count 1,4,5 and 6 instead of death sentence. With respect to count 3, he is hereby sentenced to 20 years Imprisonment with no option of fine and for count 7 he is sentenced to 5 years with no option of fine. To extend the mercy, I hereby order that the sentence shall run concurrently. I have no hesitation in coming to the conclusion that the tendency of violence has not left the convict, and as such convict must be kept in facility that suitable for his custody as putting him in Kuje Correctional Centre may not be appropriate" Justice James Omotosho, Federal High Court

Oh my goodness, how embarrassing is this. Who does this man Wike think he is. This is so disgusting to watch. Is this what he is paid to do? I weep for Nigeria. What a sad situation. There are numerous other pressing maters that he needs to face, not this open embarrassing confrontation with an officer who is young enough to be his son, and who is only obeying orders given to him by his supervisor officer. In the military, when your given an order you obey. I really like the composure of the young officer, despite the disrespect from the 'honourable' minister. We still have a long way to go, but we will get their some day. MANGA- Make Nigeria Great Again
