One of the happiest moments for me in the making of American Tail, was the creation of the sequence where little Fievel has given up hope of ever finding his parents. It is also one the saddest moments for me. He is bullied by the street mice into thinking he is worthless. "Your parents don't care about you," they yell as they exit laughing at him. Then comes the redemption. Fievel hears papa's violin, and seconds later, he is embraced by his loving parents. Deep inside each bully there is a good person that will one day wake up. That's the way I see it.. - Don
