I’ve just got back from a week in Northern Spain and the Pyrenees…and no rubbish on the streets, no fly-tipping, no dog-mess. Collection points for recycling everywhere.
Why do we live in what’s becoming a Third World Country?

Why don't we do this in Britain? We could dig trenches across every housing estate in Britain and install these underground waste units that only need a two-man operation to empty. Simple, efficient, and clean. No more overflowing bins and bags cluttering the streets.
What a day , had already decided to spend the morning at Swiss gardens before twitching the 11 Dotterel in Cambridgeshire, made it down to the Ross's Gull just in time , 15 minutes after I arrived it flew off into the distance
Over 80 species seen locally in Hertfordshire this weekend for the Herts local patch big weekend with @ianbennell75 and @moreton_birding , great fun and over 15 miles walked #hertsbirds
Fantastic morning at Otmoor. The American Golden Plover showed well , as did the Bitterns , several Cuckoo and Grasshopper warbler. Found a Redstart between the 2 screens. My favourite place to go birding in spring!
Successfully twitched the Red-rumpled Swallow on the home patch this afternoon. Patch ✅ Essex ✅🥳 (thanks to finder) also lots of House Martin for a year ✅. At least 5 Yellow wagtails and a White Wag.
The Lesser Scaup showed right in front of the Fitter hide at @college_lake today , a very smart bird, he was trying his luck with a female Tufted Duck.
Last day in Mallorca , we walked along the coast from Betlem followed by a swim in the sea whilst Vultures drifted over and Crossbills called from surrounding trees.
Balearic Warbler showed very well in the Boquer Valley this morning, also 3 Booted Eagle , 4 Black Vulture , 4 Griffon Vulture, Blue Rock Thrush also countless Black Redstart and Sardinan Warbler
